Dealing with Non-Gamers

The Master Chief's visor is orange because it blocks out sunlight, not because he's gay.

Since when has gold (or orange for that matter) been gay? If MC is gay because of that, then so is all the damn astronauts in their EVA suits.

Another thing i absolutely hate is that now gamers a split between the shooters (COD and Halo) and the others. My brother used to bash me about being a avid gamer. Of course, i played everything from Fighting to shooters to JRPG and he'd go all "such a friggin nerd" about it. Now, he borrows MY console and plays MY game on MY accounts. Games that he had bashed before when i played them.

It makes me angry that now people who play COD still insist on making the other gamers feel like shit. I do not know WHY the still feel the need to make another line to distinguish themselves and diverse gamers.

Perhaps the most disappointing thing about non-gamers is that they cannot appreciate your achievements in the game. D: While playing through Devil May Cry, and taking out 4 Mephistoes and 1 Faust without getting hit once is awesome..... but there's no one to brag to.

YES!!!!

I've embarked on some pretty epic/insane quests before, mostly trying to do absolutely everything in a game that's already fifty hours,:wacky:but actiony stuff too, like"crushing mode Uncharted 2 with no deaths".

Ahh,nothing to do but bask in the loneliness of solo gaming, even if I do succeed...

The only "non-gamer" I've ever run in to personally is one of my flatmates didn't think games hard storylines, which explains a lot of ignorant opinions from non-gamers if this is the case for majority. My ex and people I hung around with (mainly female) didn't really care about games or who was playing on what, they just got on with life; although my ex did really enjoy LittleBigPlanet. The majority of non-gamers just seem to forget that gaming is another form of entertainment from what I can tell.

In highschool I was really into games. Constantly on the PS2 as soon as I got home and all day every weekend.

I had a friend who loved gaming too and we'd talk about it at school and the boys would always tease us and call us geeks.

Yet they played video games themselves later on, way after I'd sort of gotten over gaming. I didn't get it? Wouldn't a girl playing video games appeal to them regardless? Stupid high school boys.

I hated it when my mum used to make me try and do things right when I was at a point in a game that I couldn't just stop. She was so annoying! I'd say I'd do it once I got to a save point but she wouldn't listen. >.<

I can't remember the last time someone paid me out for playing games in a non-facetious way. I think they are so popular nowadays that it's easier to find someone who plays them rather than someone who doesn't. Although this is probably restricted to some of the more popular games i.e COD.

Personally I don't even play vidya games that much anymore anyway so meh..
