Oh I knew about
Kasumi fighting one of her clones
, but if you take a good look, you'll see that
on the screen where Helena is activating the clones, it says something like "Replicant expected lifespan without mechanical assistance estimated: 14 Hrs". The replicant is obviously Kasumi as she was the one replicated to make the clones. I think that it was estimated that Yuna was going to kill Kasumi (or that since if the clones hadn't appeared, it would have been just Yuna + Cloud vs Kasumi), so I think the clones were sent there to help Kasumi, but Kasumi is under the impression that they're still evil?

Whatever the true plotline is, we'll find out on monday I think :D

I believe that the 'replicant' was referring to the clones and my guess is that they will die as they battle with Yuna, Cloud, Kasumi and (possibly) Ryu. The life expectancy is a way of ensuring that the clones are defeated, I think. Perhaps they'll be dishing out the pain, or getting ready for a huge attack, when they suddenly die. I aint writing what you say off, though.

But, as you say, we will discover on Monday. Excited, much. I hope Ryu does enter the fray.

Dead Fantasy IV has been released. And Ultima,
the thing with the Kasumi clones wasn't explained, but I think it hinted towards my theory more
:P

It ties nicely into Dead Fantasy V, from what I've seen of the previews. It's not as long as Dead Fantasy II, and neither will Dead Fantasy V, but they're still awesome.

ugh i always wont like how kairi looks in dead fantasy, her face seems like an old lady
 
Just watched it now myself~

I was a tad miffed when Kairi showed up back in DF2. She's not an FF gal...But now I'm hoping that leaves the possibility of Sora and Riku showing up, given how other male characters are showing up now too :mark:

Summoner Yuna was epic of course. I never played any DoA games, but I can't help but think the Aeons should've pwned those clones with little effort, but meh *shrugs*

And I love Cloud, really I do, but wtf? Coming in and god moding with one single sword slash like that was enough to chase of all those clones and Yuna's aeons weren't considered as hard?

And again, Cloud face looks off in this vid xD

Rofl, and again I'll say this; Cloud/Yuna fans anyone? ;D
 
I can, truthfully, care less about the males appearance. That just signifies that there a lot more people coming, and that this machinima (best word i got) is going to last longer then people might think.

Can't wait for number 5! *goes to rewatch 1 & 2 again* anyone know where else i can watch this besides Game Trailers? I can only go up to 2 on Youtube, and Gametrailers only works for me like once a week, god the lag sucks.
 
I've been watching the Dead Fantasy videos over and over again lately. Just can't get enough of how intense the fights get. However, after seeing a certain battle, I now have a grudge against Hitomi.
 
I thought it'll be nice. But it was AMAZING!!!
The action is great. It both fast and sophisticated. My favorite type of action.
The only strange thing is that they aren't dying and neither KOed after all those hits they get. Kinda TOO unrealistic.
But still it is amazing and I am waiting to watch the next one.

Yeah, me too. I hate her now because of what she did, but i already hated her, so its double hate now. The fights are kinda TOO unrealistic, though. Ayane shoulda been knocked out by tifa's combo in dead fantasy 2 and hitomi should have been killed by the magic onslaught tifa dealt her
 
I finally got to see III and IV recently. I had no idea they were out. ^^"

I just love Dead Fantasy though. The animations, movement and camera work are so well done. And the fights are so greatly choreographed. It's just awesome seeing such a great mix of characters dueling it out like so.

In IV, the epic mix of Yuna with Liberi Fatali playing gave me goosebumps. ^^
And Cloud~ *swoon*
I still can't believe what happened to poor Tifa though against Hitomi and I feel even more sorry for her after seeing the previews of V... :(

Well, seeing something happen after "that" part kind of shaved off some tension for me, but only a bit.

I mean, why did that DoA guy go through all the trouble of commanding those ninjas to beat up Tifa and then he went and oh so tenderly carries her off to likely get some medical attention?

Unless Tifa's gonna get experimented on?! Dx

Tifa's visions themselves confuse me too. Shying away from Cloud and waking up next to a tall pagoda-like building?

Seriously Monty, what little plot have you developed?! :gasp:

I guess now Monty will probably show what happened with Rikku and Rinoa; I remember something about him incorportaing dressspheres for Rikku, so he probably didn't forget that.

Gah, I wonder how long it will be 'til the next installement? :ness:
 
I don't mind the new addition to the story, V has the best so far. I'd rather see hardcore action along the lines of II. I really didn't care or even THINK about the story, seeing as I was smart enough to accept it as pure mind numbing fantasy action. Sadly he gave into fans requests and decided to asnwer noobs answers "why are they fighting?" questions. I couldn't stand how long the credits intro's where in 3 and 4. they took up like 1/3 of the damn video :insertnerdragehere: . I was a bit disappointed what we got was pretty much what we saw at the anime expo previews.

He'd said in an interview that he was most proud of his Ayane vs. Rikku fight which we didn't see. I wonder if he'll take 2 years to keep adding/refining that fight? Going by his deviantart page, I think we'll get the last FOUR episodes 6-8 + G whatever that means. I really really HOPE with at least ONE of these upcoming battles that we get some no non-sense over the top action like we did b4.

Did anyone notice that Hitomi flashed Holy materia right b4 Tifa was put on the helicopter? wonder what that was for. It almost looked like she was going to use it on Hayate to me. then she changed her mind. I pray that we get more square enix guys and don't just get Kasumi, Ryu and what's her face to switch sides. I felt a lil ripped off w/ all the DoA characters introduced. I really didn't care for Kari either. she was too out of place, she looked like a cartoon trying to exist in the real world.
 
RYU SAMA BANZAI! Damn, scared me for a sec there. I thought Monty picked Hayate over Ryu. Now that would be a mess and piss me off.

In any case, in response to Yoshimitsu's comment, you have to remember, whereas in FF, where everyone is uber powerful and can summon and stuff, in DOA, they are just humans. The best they can go is ninjas. They cannot afford the magic as it is more realistic than FF. So if we have the FF guys kill off the DOA guys like that, then where will DF 2,3,4,5 come? Have to even up things up a bit.

If things go on the way i see it, there may be a possibility that it doesnt stick straight to DOA v FF. Maybe a mix?

Finally, who was that girl with Ryu at the end? Never saw her in DOA

The woman who came in with Ryu was Momiji. She was introduced in Ninja Gaiden: Dragin Sword, for the DS. She will also appear as a playable character in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2.
 
Ah fuck! New i shoulda finished the game before deleting it. Missed a whole new character. And when you say ninja gaiden sigma 2, is that a new one after NG 2 or is it going to be a remake or some sort?

Edit: dont worry, found the answer. And i am majorly pissed that im gonna miss out on two playable characters.

Gah! Scene still hurts me no matter how many times I watch it. But after seeing what happens after that certain battle, I've calmed down slightly (but only slightly). Anyway, I'm starting to smell a weird plot coming along. Maybe a third party (possibly the enemies?) come along and FF and DOA band together. It's just a guess, but who knows? Monty Oum just won't stop surprising. Especially at the end with Ryu finally stepping into the fray. Seriously, I was worried Monty wouldn't include him.

Well, with the inclusion of everyone's favorite DoA Ninja, I suppose we might see a second FF Male character which pretty much leads me to believe, its probably Squall. Though this is just me speculating.

I know, right, the remakes top the originals. It seems that those with a PS3 get the better deal. I have both a 360 and a PS3, and recently got Sigma. I loved the original Gaiden, on the XBOX, and Sigma's tweaks and extras (such as new weapons, enemies, greater challenges) all make it better than its predecessor. I was looking into getting II, but once I heard about Sigma II and it's new playable characters and online co-op I was like 'Maybe I'll wait'.

With regards to Ryu, I had this feeling he would show up to save Kasumi. I thought he'd show up whilst Kasumi, Cloud and Yuna fought the clones on the field but that didn't work out. It seemed like the perfect time and low and behild he showed. I was so pleased. I did not expect Momiji, though.
 
T.T i really hate it weni get ripped.

I sorta expected Ryu to come and save kasumi. I mean, he is the only ninja in DOA that doesnt seem to hate her (Ayane and Hayate).
