Might need to recode that - or maybe it is the UK youtube that we can't watch that.
That is a bit nutty. I think the officer will be a bit reprimanded. Congrats on the rookie policeman losing his privileges. I'll just call him Farva for now.
This is a common sense case, where the officer should fined for this.
Wow, that's horrible. Least her case was dismissed but then when I hear that the Policeman was a rookie I can sorta dismiss it but...when there are more than just that one its hard to believe that it was just a rookie mistake. He must have been taught that by someone else.
Then when they say 'how can you drive with the street signs in English' that's just plain out stupid. Okay all streets signs are in English sure, but the words are small and easy to understand, its like the sign says some long and complicated law, most of the time they say 'stop' or 'no turn on red' I am sure just about everyone can understand those small commands. Specially this woman who was learning the language and could already speak "Broken English"
This woman getting a ticket (or anyone else) for not speaking English is just a damn shame. =/
I think this is unexcusable rookie or not, this is why some people wont come to America this is blind prejudice, commercial vehicle or not if this poor woman cant speak english she shouldnt be fined for that its truely revolting
I can only agree with one of those tickets anyway "Making an illegal u-turn" I don't even agree with the not having a driving license on them...though that might be because you don't need to carry it over here.
However, the whole non-speaking English is pathetic and to a certain degree, probably discriminative. I can forgive him for the fact it did state there was a law, he just didn't interpret it obviously. But there's been 38 cases over 3 years so it's a bit hmmm...
