[CX] The Facility

It was later for me when I started to guess, as I just trusted what we were shown at that point. I started to realise when
I saw how good a shot the person was when going to the mansion and shooting all the bodyguards, and did this without thought
. I suspected many other people, but this person I had my faith in, so it was a surprise to me even after that. I didn't feel stupid afterwards though as I know this is what we were meant to feel, and it was as clear as day when I looked back and put things together.

And yeah I got the best ending in that everyone survived, but it would be slightly different to your one I can imagine as I DID
chop off my finger and drink the poison
:D. I very nearly died on some occassions though, and I'll have to play it again and see what differences to the story I can make.

I only did the first trial, failed the 2nd one, and the last two i didn't do them. The other two were ridiculous if you ask me, throughout the game i actually felt like i was Ethan and Jayden. The fights with Jayden were really intense, i was standing the whole time during them. I was afraid i would screw up a button press in time thats why i never sat down :wacky:

I don't know about you but i cried tears of joy, i honestly thought i didn't save shaun in time. I was sure glad i was wrong, it scared me for a moment there. I was starting to get angry at the fact that i went through so much and it was all for naught. But it wasn't and i'm glad i made the choices i made throughout the game.

Yeah. I'm certainly happy with mine... Though I may have gone quite overboard with the stuff I put Ethan through. :D

I think it seems that most paths you take will
save Shaun
. Perhaps if Ethan was to die this would change, or perhaps Madison or Jayden would
save Shaun instead
...

But if Jayden was dead, then who would
fight the Origami killer?

And if Madison was dead, then would this mean Jayden would have to
fight the killer and then fail to save Shaun
?

And if Ethan was alive and the others were dead, would this mean he'd have to
fight the killer and then Shaun would drown, and THEN to rub it all in would he get shot as soon as he leaves by Blake
? :D

I saw the complete trophy list, the answers to your questions lie in them :P

I have 45 percent at the moment, never thought i'd get that much in my first time through it. The scene with Madison and
paco
reminded me of the scene from true lies with jamie lee curtis and arnold :wacky:

I don't think I've seen that movie. :wacky:

And ah... I could look at the trophy list, but I think I'd probably have more fun if I just played the game multiple times and experimented in different ways. It's good to know the trophy list is up on the internet somewhere though in case I do want a peek. :D

It'll take me a while to get the trophies, but it would prolong my experience with the game.

The movie is alright, nothing great though in my opinion. But anyway, is your PS3 working Dan? I heard some still don't work, i guess i'm one of the lucky ones that got it back working. The funny thing about it all is, sony didn't do a thing to fix them, the system fixed itself :wacky:

I just checked a few minutes ago so that I could rest my mind. :D It is working fine. My console didn't even know what had hit it. It did believe it was the 1st of March though, but I fixed that by updating the date and time via the internet, and it works fine and didn't die.

So I'm working now, and available for co-op at odd moments that I can spare. :awesome:

Awesome, whenever you want to co-op hit me up Dan :wacky:

I saw your post in the Heavy Rain topic with the pictures, its really really uncanny how the guy looks like Scott 0_o

I know its a game and all but i really hope no one actually starts mimicing the origami killer in real life. Reason being that, it would be hard to catch said person and well it'd be sick too :mokken:

That's the perceived danger with crime in the media. They make killers interesting, and the good stories make us feel sorry or at least understand the motives behind the killers actions (which I felt Heavy Rain did with the Origami Killer).

Some people may become too interested in this stuff, and some people fear that they may use some of the methods to commit real crimes, or to adapt the modus operandi of killers that they see in media and come up with something unique to them.

I don't think it really happens often though. Most people just enjoy solving crimes / watching others solve crimes as they come up with their own theories, and find the concept of a smart killer with interesting methods interesting, but would never dream of becoming a copycat of their actions as they find at the same time the concept frightning and terrifying that people can act that way.

After playing the game, i feel like my crime solving skills went up tenfold :wacky: yeah thats true but there's still a chance someone out there might be interested enough in doing said crimes.

I love tv shows with crime solving and all but we really need to advance the technology when it comes to catching criminals. Like the stuff they use in shows like CSI, true the world will never be safe no matter where you live but it would be nice to have a bit of peace of mind knowing such criminals that perform unspeakable acts would be put down or locked up.

I'm sure there have been copycats of famous murderers and i wouldn't be surprised if they are still running amok. I like the game, i really do but i can't help but feel paranoid about such a thing occuring now. That might be silly but it's better to be cautious then to ignore your surroundings you know?

There have been copycats in the past of different crimes, but I think some of the more famous copycats were just fabrications and completely unlinked.

It may occur, but it would take an extremely sick individual to carry out what the Origami Killer carried out. It wasn't just murder, it was psychological and physical torture to people that weren't even the main victims, and children (who were the main victims) would be killed in one of the slowest, coldest and frightening ways possible.

It would take a lot of planning to do it and get away with it, but if they replicate even the kind of location then the police will soon catch on that the murderer is a copycat, and will therefore have an idea of the kind of place to look for the children. The copycat wouldn't likely have the same motives or any of the feelings driving him to do it, so it would likely be too risky to try that unless the killer alters the MO slightly.

As for technology... I love Norman Jayden's ARI. That would be fantastic if we had that in the real world, and could literally see everything clearly at the crime scene without having to take it all for a lot of work at a forensics lab. And the ARI looked like fun as well, able to
change environments to whatever you want, and also to have your own virtual butler
. I'd feel so badass in those glasses, waving my gloves around. :D

It would be nice, though its effects on Jayden would be a concern. Seeing as how
it was not the drug affecting him, it was the constant use of ARI
that caused him to react the way he did.

Yeah, that's true though the copycat could think of ways of alternating the way they kill their victims. But there are only a handful of people that could be that smart, since the majority of criminals are stupid lol.

All this talk about the game is making me want to play it again, though i don't want to pick the bad decisions. I feel too much of a connection with some characters that it wouldn't feel right if i killed them off. =/

That's true. They'd have to improve it then. :D

Yeah. It's not likely really. Some of the more twisted fanboys of the game might dream about it, but would lack the intelligence to carry it out properly, or will lack the will to actually kill someone when it came to it, even if they were angry at the world beforehand. If someone does attempt it, I can't see their attempt doing very well. That said, there could be a clever killer out there who has played the game and likes the way the Origami Killer operates, but I can't see it being done.

Ha ha, true. I'm going to have to do that at some point though, as I want to see what happens. It will be painful to do that though as you're made to feel very connected to these characters.

Erm, i wasn't talking about you eheh. Me and Mits were talking about another person :wacky:

Fuck you guys.

Now we can play Sciv tomorrow Ari :ryan:

Dun wanna. I owe Nick, Mits, and Kaylee a match, and after all the yelling, I'll likely be tired afterwards. :wacky:

I took that nap and woke up at 5 AM. I didn't think I'd sleep for so long, lol.

I just thought I'd say I noticed that the leaderboard needed the link to the official site instead as the trophy card had frozen. So I have now edited it with the link.

It doesn't seem to have my Heavy Rain trophies listed though, but I think they are included in trophy total... :hmmm:

Ok, new news. I bought myself a PS3 and some games today.

My online ID is WhoAreYou02 anyone here is welcome to add.

Um, other than that, next time you play UC2 maybe send me an invite? I have only just started on it though so don't expect me to know what I'm doing :wacky:

As I said in the SB, congratulations Lee! And welcome to the PS3 side of life. :D

I'd be happy to play Uncharted 2 with you whenever I can spare the time. We should have enough members with Uncharted 2 now to have two teams of 3 playing co-op at the same time, and also enough to almost take a full side of a team in team competitive modes.

Game in an hour, guys? There should be quite a few of us by then. Lew's gonna hop on as well, and Jimmeh. He promised he won't be naughty, so...we'll see. =]

I better not be the only girl gamer on. >.>

I'll be on soon'ish for one or two games. I'll have to be off by 9 for a bit for dinner... Which is in an hours time from now.

Well that was fun, except for the connection error crapage. It happened a lot. Good game, you guys! Sorry I kinda sucked...wasn't really concentrating. :wacky:

Dan... -__-
Ryan, you and your bullshit sniper.
