I love how whenever people sing that song they don't give a damn about the Queen, and the only thing going through their minds is football.

Because that's all England is these days, a giant football. :sad2:
 
England needs more of an identity. :hmmm:

When the only English thing we sing about is the Queen, but when we say Queen we mean football, something is clearly very wrong with our culture. :wacky:



The football is everywhere! :O It's crazy (though to be expected I guess).

If I was to lose it completely and run up a mountain (just to get away), God himself would probably shout the score down to me. :gasp:


EDIT - That said (about the English thing), I'm not a fan of calling myself English anyway as I prefer to be thought of as British, but of course only English people like to be British, because we're awful on our own.

EDIT 2 - Unless it's football on.

I missed the game. Well I missed all of the games so far. It was a draw when I last looked at it, and that was already past 90 mins so I'm guessing that it ended at a draw?

What does that mean for Algeria? Are they out?
 
Nah, they've got a point, England/USA 2 and Slovenia 4 so a win against the USA could see them through. I have this horrible feeling England won't get through mind :(
 
So long as Algeria get through, then I'm a step closer to winning my £32. :monster:

But gah... Imagine the rage if England doesn't make it any further? People can get so angry about football over here.
