A few months ago, I finally played and beat CC, confusing thing about the whole situation, did they have the whole story line plotted out in the beginning, when VII came out? Cause the story line in VII made no sense for a little bit, but when CC came out and I played through it made more sense then then since it was the prequel, but, why is it that Angeal or Genesis is not mentioned at all in VII?

because cloud never met them in crisis core... he only met zack as far as i remember XD but yh i think they had it planned from the start as zack was mentioned in VII i soo need to play crisis core again XD

I'm pretty sure none of the FF VII prequels/sequels were planned out when FFVII was made. Since FFVII was wildly successful, they figured they could milk it until the cow runs dry. :dave:

No don't think it was planned, because the Zack death flashback was completely different. Zack only died by a few Shrina grunts, and Zack doesn't try and fight dozens of Shrina grunts when trying to save Cloud from Nibelhiem, and there's no Cissinei, and Cissinei isn't living with Zack's parents in Gongaga.

I think you have to take each of the other games from the FFVII series as there own game for the most part. I mean if you try to mix all the games with FFVII then you will be very lost in the story and confused. Take each game as it's own game, you might make it seem a little more understandable... I mean, other than Sephiroth and Zack how many First class soldiers did we know in the Original FFVII game? Also, how long were Zack and Aerith dating in the first game? Things that I think CC tended to expand and make the game longer to have Zack feel more than an "extra scene from the original game".
