Before you get into this Rp you don't really have to know about the previous games Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross. All you need to know is that this RP will feature tracks from the games and new musical selections as well. Also there will be certain references that will be briefly mentioned later in the Rp but thats not of much importance as your characters will come to learn as they are the heroes of this tale...​

The story begins in an island where mountains surround every side. It's the place where you have lived your whole life....but when a mysterious girl appears to you in your dreams, strange events begin to occur as the world you know may be lost forever. With a long journey on your hands are you willing to fight for your world? Are you willing to even travel across time? The third Chapter in Chrono history is about to begin...​

Basically this rp is a massive adventure for many who want to venture. Whether you have knowledge of the game or not you can still enjoy this Rp. I promise a strong plot that will not disappoint and many twists and turns. The characters will be capped off at 8 heroes and shall include backstories of each of them. The RP has 8 chpters...Hopefully this will be a very fufilling RP that will see itself to the end!​

Time​

The essence of time will become crucial in the RP as every week the world of the RP characters will change between two universes: Dark and Light.​

The Light universe is the regular peaceful home world where everything is normal for you. Life moves on slowly and a life of ease is where our characters rest. The environment is always sunny and colorful plants are everywhere. Everyone is vibrant and cheery(the NPCs).​

The Dark universe is where monsters roam and the skies are always gray. Montsers of all kinds roam the lands of your island and everything has a tinge of blackness when it comes to environments.​

These two universes tend to have hidden locations on them and contain the same people in different ways. So a characters family in the light universe would be the loving family the character would know while the character's family coul be dead in the Dark universe. Everything changes with time so be clear to note that.​

Another thing to note is that the games environment changes frequently so be clear to note the descriptions of each world as the dark and light universe thing will last for a couple chapters. After a certain amount of chapters the characters will gain the ability to travel through time inot different parts of their world's past.​

COMBAT​

Stats:
Stats are vital to defeating enemies. Please go easy on me as I am using a simple stat system that works smoothly...When attacking just state it in a regular Rp post. I will do most of the Damage calculations myself. The Party will collect expericence points as they defeat bigger enemeis and level up as a group. When your are fighting you aren't just fighting for your own stat increase but for others stat increases as well. Everyone in the party will level up at the same time meaning team work!​

Atk: Attack is you strength. And the damage you can deal to an opponent.
Def: Defense the amount of blocking ability against damage you can handle.​

The attack system example is shown below.​

Attack-> Defense -> -Hp
Attack -> Defense -> Attack- 1/2 Defense​

Example:
50 attack attacks monster with 30 defense =
50-15 =35 of overall damage.​

Your defense is always cut in half when an attacker comes at ya. So try and gain lots of defense. This same system is applied to magic attack and magic defense...​

Focus: Your focus is the stat that will double as the party grows. You can only choose 2 focus stats that will double. These stats will grow much faster than the others providing you with an advantage in certain areas of battle. ​

Growth:
The entire Chrono Pulse party SHARES the same Experience points. This is gained in teamwork as characters defeat beasts around the world. When a character fights a beast alone or with two people, their exp is added to the whole party's overall experience. The only differene is that their focus stats double for participating in battle. those who do not participate in battle will not gain a doubled focus stat.​

Monster battles:
When fighting a monster it's HP will be displayed along with a picture. The monter's stats will also be displayed as well. Monsters aren't able to be fought until a certain event happens in the RP posts.​

Map:

Guardia village: A quaint town with a great view of the beach and the castle.
Guardia castle: This is where the royal family of Guardia resides. The castle helps run the whole island.
Olana Village: A villiage in the middle of the forest. It's inhabitants love nauter.
Odu monks: A place where the religious folk go to worship.
Rais village: A small place where few villagers live. its very quiet and relaxing like it's beach.
Porre City: A city of warriors and technoogy. This is a city of innovation and effeciency.
Eden tower: IT's said to be a secret place. No one can enter without battling the mighty beast that guards it.

I'm getting a bit more active, so I'll be the first to join Chrono Pulse! I never played Chrono Cross, though I sincerely want to, and never got far in Trigger. However, i enjoyed Trigger immensely. Anywho, here we go!

Name: Cedric Wargun
Age: 15

Weapon: Battle-axe with a handle long as a spear, colored the same as this text and made of a light-weight but very sturdy metal.
Appearance:

Personality: Cedric's personality is best described as.... erratic. He has never kept a set behavior around others, at least for a long amount of time, and how he acts towards other changes regularly. However, behavior towards his friends and family is generally something along the lines of protective in a way sounding like this:

"Mess with those I care about, and you will be hung by your intestines from the nearest high place." Direct quote. Don't mess with the people he cares for.

How much he talks also varies greatly, sometimes speaking whole speeches, sometimes only one word. He's pretty unpredictable. Last few psychologists who tried to judge him are now in a far-away asylum. Mainly, he is every bit of all personalities that each take their turn as time goes by.

History:The one thing Cedric doesn't talk about. He was found alone in the middle of the forest. He volunteered no information about his past except that his parents were dead. He still refuses to speak about it, and lives alone in a tree near the village. Cedric is odd sometimes....
What is known is that he has an unnatural fondness for darkness, though he has a good personality. He also is skilled in wielding the axe he carries with him. Beyond that, nothing.

Many may venture. but the first 8 will be the "Heroes", RPers can still sign up after that? This seems promising. I would hardly be able to participate if it were required that I be knowledgeable of the Chrono games, I couldn't consider it...

But since I don't have to be, I just might join, I like the sounds of a strong plot. And seeing as it has been clear an RPer won't have their character killed unless they OK it, so I'll handle twists and turns, trying hard to be more mature about it than I have been previous. ^^;

So if you'll have me, I'd like to join. Before I post the bio, I have a couple of questions I would like to ask, if I may (that sounds like a reporter... xD).

First, the one the directly impedes me making the full requested bio, I am unclear on what "Focus" means here...if you could explain what I should put there?

Second, not concerning me, but for others' sake, your example of "a characters family in the light universe would be the loving family the character would know while the character's family could be dead in the Dark universe", would they be alive when the character is in the light universe again?

Oh, and I almost forgot, for the History section, is it for the character's history in this RP, or just the character's History in general? Like would be seen in the character's RP Bio (if it has one).

O wow people joining before I post the rest of the first stuff up!

And I really like your character Shadow...but if you aren't active he'll have to go as this RP will rely heavily on activeness. Keep editing bio.

Now to clear up some of your questions Crimson:

1. I haven't really finished with putting all the stuff I need to have on the Stats and universe sections. I will edit them in but for future reference FOCUS is the stat you wan't your character to focus on. Your Focused stat will gain double the growth points making him/her stronger in that area. Hopefully everyone gets different Focuses so that the battling teams could have strengths and weaknesses.

2. As these are two very different universes I'd say yes. One universe is one way and another universe is another way. The two don't effect each other at all. Say if you kill someone in the Light universe, their dark universe self will still be alive. Both universes are different. And characters will be traveling back and forth through both in the Rp at some point.

3. History is History. I would like you to just write your character's history. I may take me a while to draw a map for this Rp so try not to include specific places and names. The setting is a big island surrounded by mountains. so reguardless who you are your character comes from there.

I would like to see you use a human character for once Wolfy but if you still want Crimson to participate I just realised that in Chrono Cross Demi humans were mentioned who were a race of people infused with animal appearance....

well this will be my first Stat based RP, but i should pick it up quickly being a quick learner. as for the Chrono trigger/ cross games, i have never played them, but you said that doesn't matter. so here it goes.

Personality: Stephen is very egotistical, self loving and Vein. he always calls himself 'the hero' and things along that idea. other than that he is somewhat of a loan wolf, he tends not to join teams, but when he has no other option, he will join a group so long as the others in the group have the same goals.

History: Stephen has spent his entire life getting into fights, and never getting along with anyone due to his self love. he grew up part of a large family, and had a happy childhood, although most don't believe this because of all the fights he gets into, people link it to a disturbed childhood.

Stephen never stayed in one place for long once he had left home, spending his time training in the forest against wild animals such as panthers and snakes among others. Stephen was always searching for ways to better himself.

Oh! And don't forget to post magic types as you all wil be recieveing the ability for magic for the sake of the story. Just pick an element out of the following: fire, water, dark, Earth, ice, wind, psychic, and my character has light so...

You never said there was anything against Crimson Wolf in this specific RP, so I'm afraid I have to stick with it, if the only reason for using some different character is just for the sake of, well, using a different character. Hope you don't mind. ^^;

I'll get to a human character eventually, I am sure, just need to find a really cool pic to make it work. xP

Name: Crimson Wolf

Age: 20

Magic Type: Wind.

Weapon: His own claws and teeth. Aside from that, none.

Appearance: In his human shape:

His height is 6'0, weight is 210 pounds. Crimson Wolf, like most of his race, prefers to be in his human shape. He has a fairly muscular body, though it would normally not be too noticeable for all the fur a Ferfnir has, his superior strength is apparent, and he doesn't attempt to cover up his entire body to hide it.

Overall appearance, for the most part, is the same as that of a Wolf, as any Ferfnir's is. In his human shape, he usually walks on two legs, though in either this shape or the Wolf shape, he must run on all four legs to run at his top speed.

His eye color is light brown, nose is also brown, fur is quite long, and primarily black in color, but has some crimson colored fur of unusual markings across the left side of his face, torso, low in particular, and on his tail. There is also crimson colored fur along the sides of his tail.

He wears a long, sleek black and silver leather coat, open, and a pair of sweat pants that are all black, and fit him loosely, so he uses a brown belt with a silver belt buckle to keep it held up well.

He never wears shoes, partly due to the problem of not being able to acquire any that will fit, though he never really looked much, because it is also his preference, feeling more free without any to be trying to walk awkwardly in with his paws.

Only wears his light weight clothing as opposed to armour, he never wears armour, be it considered light armour or heavy armour, one time that he tried it, he disliked the restricted movement greatly, he values his kin's natural capabilities highly, and has no intention to negatively impact his mobility with heavy armours.

In his normal Wolf shape:

He is basically a Black Wolf, but due to the odd, crimson colored fur on him, he calls himself Crimson Wolf.

Other than not wearing any of the clothes he does in his human shape, just having a couple of patches of crimson colored fur instead of markings, and his actual shape being the same as that of any Wolf, he maintains the same overall appearance otherwise, black fur all over everywhere other than the two areas, being across the left side of the face, now covering the front of the ear as well, and at the end of the tail, that have red fur.

But as a result of the shape change differences, his height and weight are altered, and become more like that of a regular, quadruped Wolf's. Height: 3'0. Weight: 100 pounds.

When shifting to this shape, it may seem odd going from having strange, inexplicable markings, to the area just becoming all crimson colored fur across the one side of the face, with no pattern to it, or on his tail, but the markings only appear in his true form, his human shape, of which he was born into.

Personality: Crimson Wolf generally has a cool, laid back personality, and is very tame and approachable. There are two sensitive subjects for him though; his past, and any serious reasoning to fear for his sister's life, he is very protective of her, since he learned of her existence then met her.

He would from time to time get scolded by the others in the Wolf pack (details in History), but he would just apologize then move on from it.

When he is alone and bored, he may sometimes play with his tail when he is not very tired and suddenly in a playful mood, while other times he will look up at the stars and the moon in the sky at night.

If alone, bored, and tired, he will simply go to sleep. Strangely, when in his humanlike shape, he prefers to sleep lying face down. This is most likely just to avoid laying on his tail, since every once in a while, when he is sitting down somewhere late at night, he sometimes nods off, shortly after falling back and landing on his tail, which would cause it to sting a bit for a while.

As for his level of tolerance, if someone were to accidently trip and spill water on him, but then apologizes, he wouldn't really let it bother him, just say something along the lines of

"It's nothing, don't worry about it. But now I'm all wet...if you'll excuse me, I have to go get dried off."

Even though his fur is of dark colors, and he wears dark colored clothing, he isn't the least bit sinister, and is strongly against the killing of the innocent, and despises criminals, but even them he will not always just attack mercilessly, but bring them to justice rather than to their graves.

As for someone killing another in self defence, the other brought it upon them self when they went looking to pick trouble, just a matter of time before they pick on the wrong person and get what they have coming to them. Sounds cruel, but such is life.

Though he tries to be unnoticed doing this, if he knows there will a tough fight just ahead of him or a series of fights, he will go aside and think back on the more harsh experiences from his past to intentionally shed tears, he will be able to fight better after getting this out of his system, an odd but indeed a useful, not meaningless course of action to take as a battle preparation from time to time.

If someone sees him doing this, they may not understand how doing this gives him strength. But one would have to see his face to tell he is being emotional, as he always has his eyes closed during this, and is silent, so someone would have to see at least a tear trickle down his furry face to be able to tell if he is doing this.

History: Shortly after Crimson Wolf was born, while the parents were off to get some food for him, in their Wolf shape to move quickly and easily in their quadruped forms to kill something in the wild to bring back for him to eat, a hunter was in the area, and they were spotted and got shot down, then the hunter took their Wolf pelts.

Having never returned, Crimson Wolf began to worry for their safety, and after some days passed he became very hungry, then walked as best as he could, though still being very young, and didn't have much strength at that time, not enough to walk on two legs, though technically in his human shape, at his age it was that of an infant, though mind was already more developed.

He searched and searched for his parents, until eventually he found their bodies, stripped of all their fur, and had began to decompose, he was terrified by this sight, he knew they were dead, and it was clear a hunter was responsible for it.

Howling out mournfully, he knew he was now alone, without any family, or any friends. After some time of this, a pack of Wolves heard this and came, and witnessed what must have happened.

They felt for him, so they took him into the pack and looked after him for years to come, seeing as he had no one left to take care of him while he is growing up.

But it wasn't very long before they all realized he was much different from them, when he grew strong enough to be able to walk on two legs, but Crimson Wolf explained what his race is as his parents explained to him when they were still alive.

They understood it, he even demonstrated his change from his human shape to Wolf shape, once he grew large enough. He would almost always be in his Wolf shape so he would fit in with the pack better, but they knew his true shape, and he knew it, he was just glad they accepted him still.

The Wolf pack had always lived in fear of the hunters, but Crimson Wolf often strayed close to a fairly close by village, observing the behavior of the people there, studying some human behaviors.

However, from time to time the rest of the pack would scold him for being around the humans so much, that what if a hunter spots him one of the times, and he ends up leading him right to them, that the person would kill them all.

Though frightened by the mere thought of it, he responds that he can't help it, he can't help but be interested in humans, all the things they do, say, and use, but not fond of guns at all.

When he grew up to his full size, strength and maturity, he wanted to show his appreciation for the pack taking such good care of him through the years, so he told them he was going to speak with the people in the village, and try get them to agree to stop hunting the Wolves in the forest.

I would like to choose HP and Str, but everybody is choosing that, and there needs to be some variety, and Crimson Wolf survives, so the alternative to Strength would be physical Defense. <_<
