"Whether or not you are an animal lover, this video from Turkey of a cat giving what looks like a cardiac massage to revive his fellow kitty is amazing and touching. Watch the white cat with orange and brown markings appear to worry about his downed friend.
The black cat is obviously dead, but somehow the white cat uses its kneeding paw action to try to revive his friend. See the power in the muscles of the white cat which lead me to believe the white cat is working very hard to revive his friend.

The good news here is the touching care the white cat shows to for his injured comrade cat. The bad news is the black cat doesn't make it. But watch when the white cat realizes there is no hope. He doesn't walk away, but lies down next to the black cat and appears to grieve by lying next to the black cat and lying his laying his head on the black cat's body.

I worn you, the video is very heartbreaking. The next time someone has the nerve to tell me animals can't love I'll tell them about this.

I know, it's sad yet amazing to see an animal care so much for something else it attempts to help it.
It's sad to see it mourn though...

I hate seeing animals die...breaks my heart beyond repair. It's obvious that precious cat loved and was concerned for the other cat, that much is clear. But to see that cat attempt to help the other kitty, is outstandingly heartbreaking and beautiful. At least now people can really see animals can love and they do care. This video proves that more than anything.

I hope the white cat finds another cat to care and love or a nice family to shower it with love.

I don't know what to say. It's one of those rare moments where it's something really heartwarming, but sad at the same time. Since I'm really fond of cats, it was heartbreaking to see one lying dead on the ground. It was even more heartbreaking to see the other cat trying so hard - yet vainly - to save its friend. The bit where the white cat appears to be grieving just made me cry a bit.

It really does show the extent of love that can be exhibited in animals. Watching that was both beautiful and tear-jerking at the same time. I hope the white cat manages to find happiness again.

EDIT: I just want to say that this does contrast the sheer cruelty of those "crush" videos. Whoever gets a kick out of them - I damn dare you to watch this and see whether this will kick you in the heart!

People's hate for animals really breaks my heart... I can't even grasp any reason to harm such peaceful creatures, it's disgusting.

Well said... and I agree. I won't even be able to vocally tell this to my family without tearing up from it. I have cats too and to see one lying there, already gone, just weighs on my heart like a thousand tons.

I totally agree with you. It's just awful to see why they'd want to harm animals.

Well, I do have a dog, Rocky. Saved him from the shelter.

I also buy the dog food that gives back or whatever? to the shelters i think (pedigree?)

First of all, thanks to the OP for posting this. It's a very touching video, although sad, it's interesting and wonderful to see stuff like this.

I'm a big cat lover(- and a big animal lover!) so I was almost distressed watching this video, but also I felt happy to see such an act of love. I hate it when people say that animals don't have feelings. They do. This cat obviously cared for his/her friend. S/he's trying to help their friend, then you can clearly see that the cat is upset and refuses to leave their side. That itself is all you need.

My boyfriend works as a volunteer at a Vets and I've just made the mistake of showing him this. :\ But I guess it's nothing he's not used to.

I agree, I cannot even begin to understand why people show hate towards animals. I recently had a write up an essay on animal rights and if it's beneficial for humans. It turned out to be a rant on how animals are mistreated because they are misunderstood. I wish I had seen this video before I wrote it! It would've done perfectly.

Agreed. This has to be the most clear, undeniable proof that cats and many many other animals can love and can show concern for others. Just another step to helping animals and stopping abuse.

I saw a show on Discovery, I think it was, about wild dolphins who rescue humans from sharks. True stories. The people who talked about it said that a crowd of dolphins would start spinning circles around the humans in order to confuse the shark. Although some scientists say that the dolphins behaved like that just to save their young. But then again, they could clearly see that the shark was after the humans. It's amazing.

I have a cat too and I just can't understand how can people say that animals have no feelings when they clearly have certain responses in each situation. If a dog didn't have any feelings he wouldn't lick your face or wig his tail and bark. That's why I'm against animal killing. They feel the same pain we do.

The music and the cats face got me. The face of the cat is so emotional and its amazing how he was trying to revivie the other cat. Im sad the other cat didnt make it, but this shows how amazing animals can be. Truly amazing, I love videos like this.

Lol. I'm not trying to be an asshole or anything, it is kind of sad. But that cat is just fluffing the other cat like they do with blankets. You can even see his back end go down and try to hump the dead cat. Sad though...

This video made me cry a little. To see such devotion is heartbreaking. I still can't believe people hurt these poor animals. I love animals and recently (In the past 5 years) ive been adopting some cats,dogs and even a fox from animal shelters. I love to take care of them.

hmm i would of just though the white cat was trying to get the black cats fur off so it could eat it. They are street cats.
