He's definitely not my favorite character in the series but I really don't hate the guy. I think overall though he's easily in the running for most hated character. I think part of the reason was that he betrayed your group. He weaseled his way in, set you up, then stuck around after completely screwing you over. I also think that he was meant to be much more of a zany and whacky character but he never came across as that at all. I think that's why they gave him the scottish accent in Advent Children.
I just want to know why everyone hates him so much. Is it that you didn't get the character? You hate stuffed animals? Hate that he betrayed you? And is he your most hated-character?
Also, isn't it nice of me to mark this topic with "spoilers" even though the game was released a decade ago.
Someone would have bitched if I didn't. They still might...

It was nice to have someone to spy on Shinra for you and he is the only character to point out the Barret that his terrorist attacks had infact killed thousands of people. And what's not to love about a stuffed cat that talks down to everyone?

I actually liked him and grew to like him more in Dirge of Cerberus. Sure, I was mad at him betraying the group, but that's what games are about: giving a story with twists. I bet all of you were unexpecting it to happen, anyway. But I like Cait Sith, think he's cute and the Scottish accent just makes him even more adorable.
