Anime Bleach Vs Naruto

Yes, but the entire show is animated by a South Korean company. And NOT all Anime comes from Manga. Case in point, Slayers, highly sucessful anime series, was based on light novels. Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann, was based on nothing but the original storyboards by the company that animated it. Wolf's Rain got a Manga BASED on it, but it was an anime first, same with Cowboy Bebop and Outlaw Star and Gundam 0079... You get my point. However, in the case of Avatar, I consider it Anime due to a lack of any other word to classify Korean animation. With Korean manga, you've got Manwha, but Korean animation doesn't have a term I believe... And I don't think it's fair to judge Animation by the minds behind it or the voicework. After all, I don't see why an American author/artist can't think up a story that gets turned into Anime somehow.

Ok, guess I was wrong about the manga bit (stupid assumptions) but, just because something is animated by a South Korean or another Asian company doesn't make it anime as they did not draw it. BTW I think Korean anime is also called manwha. Look at the cartoon "Hi Hi Puffy Amiyumi". It is about 2 Japanese girls who are musicians and is based on a real Japanese musical duo Puffy Amiyumi. However, it is distinctively not anime, you can tell by the art and style of drawing.

That would be because of the American cartoonists behind it. I'm not saying that Americans cannot draw/write anime. After all, I've drawn and written tons of thing ABOVE par of some anime. It's just that American animators try to force feed the idea that they understand Japanese culture when they don't.

Case in point with "Hi Hi Puffy Amiyumi", the little bits I saw of the show was interesting but it was rather over-the-top in its presentation of the Japanese. Personally, though... were I to ever work on an anime-styled cartoon, all I would use is the style. Other than that, I would craft my own world and story to tell.

Haha, this is a great debate. See, I'm an avid Bleach fan, and refuse to watch Naruto. On the other hand, my girlfriend loves Naruto and refuses to watch Bleach.

I just, really, really despise Naruto. In the bigger picture, I don't like the way it's animated, nor do I like the story and the generic approaches it takes towards "not" being generic when dealing with ninjas. I also hate most of the characters (and I always vote Naruto as worst main character ever.)
The list could go on and on...plus I have nit-picky details like how American the show feels, and how it's stupid that a ninja would have a BRIGHT ORANGE outfit, etc. etc.

I just love Bleach because of its story and humor and huge cast of characters and its mostly original story ideas that deal with death and etc.
The only things in Bleach I don't vouch for are- admittedly, the first couple dozen episodes (or up until Volume 7 in the manga, however way you want to look at it) are less than great. But, it's the awesome story that follows that that I'm in love with.
Also- that weird side story about vampire things in the anime? I don't even know what that's about. Skip it if you're able. -_- I feel bad for people only watching in English...

I watch/read both but I definetely prefer Bleach.I agree Naruto is great till a certain age.The characters just seem to now change their personality,I mean Sasuke so many years was asking for revenge when you think he's about to forget it with Team 7 you see him fight Naruto like all those never happened, some of the things that annoy me.I loved it until a year ago.
Maybe Bleach is like that a little, but the story seems to attract me much more.
Both though are very different from each other and it's hard to choose.

I'm attracted to serious action.. So i basically loved both...

I didn't really see the problems mentioned by other members above though. I thought they were both good enough for me... I didn't bother much about the dressing though.

Not like i care if Naruto wears a bright orange suit and never gets out of it no matter how dirty.. So long there's action, I'm good... =P

If we had younger members here I bet Naruto would be winning right now.

Maybe, but I dunno if it's just me, but Naruto struck me as being quite 'disturbing' if you know what I mean. I mean, the idea of kids watching a cartoon about a child with a demon inside him kind of makes me feel uneasy. I remember in the manga, and there is a chapter (I stopped at the end of Volume 14) where you see a flashback into the past of Orichimaru and he/she (can't remember) is experimenting or something on humans to try and figure out immortality (or something along the lines of that) and what you see inside the the experimenting room is bodies lining the walls with blood and everything.

Yes,I remember that part too.Disgusting.But don't you know how obsessed little kids are with it(and others of course).I mean I was once in a naruto forum and I said that I preferred Code Geass and they almost ate me for saying that.

Bleach is much better than Naruto in my opinion. The storyline of Bleach is just so great! Also I would love to see Bankai Ichigo and Fox Naruto in a battle. Ichigo will kill Naruto!

I'm a HUGE Bleach Fangirl, if that wasn't already obvious.

I just can't get into Naruto, AT ALL. I've tried but Naruto just pisses me off and Sakura is so fecking irritating it's unreal.

Bleach on the other hand has such a diverse bunch of characters that there's going to be someone for everyone. The stories are always really interesting and the battles ... well, they're typically pretty fooking epic.

Bleach Vs Naruto = Bleach pwns

Bleach all the way, Naruto seems really....kid-ish to me, at least the first 50 episodes. Naruto is just boring to me. Bleach is awesome though, very. I don't think I like any anime more than Bleach besides Dragon Ball Z.

Naruto-It kind of is kid-ish and I don't understand why there's so much violence in it when it's for kids. That's a minus for me.The characters aren't that great and the plot is just so predictable most of the times.Sakura was so annoying in the first series.I really wanted to punch her.And I hate all this coincidence that the three of them were thought by the sanins.I mean come on,there are a lot of other ninjas out there with the potential.
Bleach-I like the story much more, especially the part with the
hollowification
and it has cought me many times off guard in recent chapters
where you expect from Ikkaku to win and he
almost loses but didn't because another Shinigami got there in time
.Plus I like that there are also other characters who get some screen-time of the whole chapter. We get to see Captains fight like we hadn't see back then. Also I'm under the impression that there's also another bad guy except Aizen(of course I might be wrong)

Whoa, another Bleach wave! But it's a pity though, Ishida (woot) should be fighting the Arrancar as well. (Is he fighting them? WHERE is he??!)

Scoreboard:

Bleach - 14
Naruto - 3

Hmm, when I created this thread, I kinda expected closer results...

Bleach is really good, the only thing I don't like is the Bountou Arc. I didn't understand the whole thing about
The Bountou's needing Ishida to open the portal, especially since you need an arrow to open it. Ishida is the smarter one of the group, so he should have the common sense of not letting the Bounts into Soul Society.

Bleach is WAY WAY BETTER THAN NARUTO. One word Espada thats what sells bleach for me. They are thee most badass villians in all of anime to me. Akatsuki wouldn't stand a chance against them at all it would be murder. Naruto stopped being interesting to me because they aren't acting like ninjas. Hear I thought ninjas were suppose to kill quickly and quitely but you have a spiky haired boy yelling turning into a damn fox with tales?! Cut that bullshit out thats not a ninja thats a pile of shit. If naruto and that whole failed leaf village want to see a real ninja work and learn the ways of a real ninja they need to seek out Soifon the captain of the 2nd division speical ops in Bleach. She would whip those lame kids into shape.

Nah it's not that Ishida has no common sense, it's because he sees all Shinigami as enemies, as he is a Quincy. He mentioned it to Ichigo right after the Soul Society Arc, when they were being dropped off by Urahara and his magic carpet.

naruto uzamaki all the way, he can be way powerful than ichigo, but here is the big question you have to analyze: who's spirit is more powerful? that is the real question you have to ask yourself.

Bleach.
It's the best manga I've read, and it has the coolest characters, story and everything. It's awesome seeing them fight with swords, and they even have a shikai and bankai. Ain't that cool? Plus the fight scenes are epic. Especially when Ichigo's in his hollowfication mode. You gotta see his fight with Ulquiorra. Awesome. It has an amazing story too, the Death Gods, Hollows and the fight in the afterlife.
Naruto, has a cool storyline too, all those ninja and stuff, making it the most popular anime/manga in the world today and Bleach is number 2, but that doesn't change the fact it's so damn awesome. It's just the rank anyway.

A year and a half ago, I'd have said that Bleach was superior without question.

Now though? The way everything has dragged on in Bleach while Naruto falters from excess tangents involving Sasuke, I'm pretty much reading both of them to see how they'll end. Now granted, Aizen's finally taking punches and Naruto's plot is mostly back on Naruto himself (and Killerbee, which made for epic teamup), but either series could go right back down the shitter again.

My decision on a fight?

Naruto and Ichigo ruthlessly slash/pummel each other for several days straight, increasing their elements of LET'S DIE TOGETHER, SASUKE and FINAL SUPREME ULTIMATE LAST RESORT GETSUGA.

Then Nico Robin comes in and breaks their necks out of simple irritation.
