Any plans for Black Friday? Buying any game consoles or a big screen TV for a very low price? Are you one of those people who would pitch a tent outside of Wal-Mart for three days, shivering in the cold, just to ensure that you'll be one of the first ones in line? In fact, what are your general thoughts about Black Friday?

My brother's girlfriend invited me to shop during Black Friday, at 4 a.m! I told her that's probably not happening. I really don't wanna get trampled on by people...especially if we're talking about Columbus here. Enough people get shot everyday. Black Friday will definitely be more than chaotic. I mean, yes I admit, I'm pretty materialistic, but I'm not THAT materialistic. So what if items are a lot cheaper? Probably a big deal to a lot of people, but if it involves people going crazy at a store, then I'm out.

But anyway, to those who plans on shopping for Black Friday...what do you plan to get? =]

What's black Friday, why does it involve great big sales in the shops and more importantly, if there ARE big sales, why don't we have it over here?

Ok wth is BLACK friday huh, I do not have that over here well anyways Mits if the items are alot cheaper get a ps3.

It's the day after Thanksgiving, therefor there are about a million sales going on. :neomon:

Anyway, I don't buy anything on Black Friday. It isn't that big of a deal for me.

Hello no. I hate shopping in the first place, and there is no way I would subject myself to the waves of traffic and crowds that Black Friday attracts. =/ I'd rather shoot myself in the leg!

What on Earth is Black Friday and why haven't I heard of it before? Given this question, my answer to the original thread topic is as follows: nothing special. I've never heard of the occasion before and I'm not sure if it's "black" as in "the black sabbath" or as in a black man's day. :wacky:

Just noticed that Kelly wrote something similar.

Black Friday is only in U.S.A I think ... so we Europeans and Asians have to live without it... But overall it's pretty nice selling day... but this year some critics say that this year it will be Gray Friday... because of the bad economy at the moment :(

No, it means prices are in "the black". It refers to low prices and high sales. Whatever... it has nothing to do with the race.

Anyhow, no I won't be going. I shop about twice a year if it is absolutely necessary... there will be no rushed mad shopping for me. It's very annoying. I've been there once and I bought a stack of 500 black CD-R's for about 2 bucks but that was it. I have a big screen TV. I have a 360. I don't need any shit or hassle from it.

My plans: sleep in. :cassy:

I have no classes, so therefore, I can actually rest over the break. :D

I'm poor, so I'm not doing anything on Black Friday. I don't even think I'll leave the house. I have to work the day after which I think is just as bad. I won't even do my shopping until 5 days before Christmas.
