I was expecting AG to revive this thread after it got deleted in the reset. >=(

Anyways, what's your favorite book in the series?

I would want to say 4, but 3 should definitely take the cake because it was brilliant in the way the plot was executed. All the clues don't really tip off to what the ultimate ending was going to be about and it was all that predictable as the later books came to be (for me anyway, maybe not you DX)

I've only read up to the middle of 4 because I've had both 5 and 6 spoiled for me. I would say Prisoner of Azkaban was my favorite but I didn't care for the ending. It just seemed anticlimactic after all the build up. The rest of the book was awesome though. So I'll say Chamber of Secrets. I really enjoyed it and it was funny how pitiful Harry and Ron were without Hermione.

I was meaning to Warbourne but i completely forgot =/

i find it strange that in America its called the Sorcerers stone while in England its called the Philosophers stone, i wonder how that was in the american movie version? Like if they changed it when it got imported.

I would have to say that my favourite harry potter books are the 6th and 7th ones, the 6th because of the really powerful and emotionally epilogue
Dumbledores Death
and the 7th....because it's just amazing.

In the first movie they just did scenes with the characters saying 'Philosophers Stone' for the UK release and did scenes saying 'Sorcerers Stone' for the US release.

As for my favourite, I like Prisoner of Azkaban the most. It's gripping stuff from beginning to end and I like the twists that occur. Though Goblet of Fire has the best opening chapter.

i'd have to say the deathly hallows just because its the final chapter. anything we weren't sure about was cleared up and voldemort was finally defeated. the final chapters of the book were just amazing.
with harry "dying" and then waking up in that void and talking to dumbledore. then he learned about how snape was actually good.
they were the highlight of the whole series for me.

None.

From day one when I first heard the name Harry Potter, I knew many people were going to turn to the dark-side and follow this prepubescent, thumb-twirling dick-wad. I can't stand this boy, his books, his movies, his merchandise, his cracking voice, or his voodoo shit.

I hate Harry Potter.

I like it! I'm old and don't give a shit. I carried the last HP book with pride. No, It's not high literature but it's a fucking good yarn! (unless i'm on the tube next to a sexy lady in which case I replace it with my handy copy of Bridget Jones).

POA is my fav by the way.

I'm pretty sure it's because of cultural differences....I remember reading something in an encyclopedia about alchemy (turning stuff into gold, that kind of thing) and they mentioned the two separately. I still need to look it up to support this more but yeah I'm pretty sure it's just cultural difference, passed down the same path but split eventually.

It's the same thing, really. xD

I prefer the Goblet of Fire over any other, what with the Tri-Wizard Tounament and the return of Voldemort, though the Chamber of Secrets is a close second for me.

Well, I must be one to admit that I'm not a great fan. I used to love it as a kid but by the time it reached book 6 I was somewhat bored. I never read the 6th so I haven't bought the 7th. But of those I've read, I'd have to say the 3rd. I read that 4 times, I think. Maybe that's one reason I grew bored.

I do enjoy the films, though. Were I picking my favourite film, it would be the 5th. That just simply rocked!

Wow, so hard to choose. Well, my favorite is probably between the Deathly Hallows and The Order of the Phoenix. I think they're both just full of action in them

Deathly Hallows was brilliant. I loved the building Ron/Hermione relationship lol I didn't like how easily Voldy went down tho. :P

POA becasue it features Sirius Black and Lupin for the first time. They are 2 of my fav characters, plus they made the film darker and more sinister.
