Quote from Wakka himself. But why? After 40 straight losses or so he said, he felt like it was time to retire. Just a pondering question, but why do you think the Besaid Aurochs sucked so much Tuna fish...for so freak'n long?

Could be the competitive level of the rest of the teams in the league. Some of those opponents were mean Sally Suzies...

Also, I think it also is due to the fact that Wakka himself blew as a blitzball player. I mean, I like him as a character, but when I signed him on my team, he was 40 levels behind everyone else. No wonder he's only 1 gil per game to sign.

Wakka = Bench-warmer.

Why did the Aurochs suck?!

Wakka is a fine player, I'll have you know. Being, as you say, 40 levels behind ANYONE is enough to make him look shitty. Bring him up those levels, and he'll easily make a fine forward.

As for the Besaid Aurochs sucking for so long...well, their island hasn't exactly surpassed primitivity. Inhabitants of Besaid suck at life by default.

...........except Lulu. She was good.

I have to disagree with you're stereotype of Besaid Island, what proof do you have that Besaid inhabitants suck at birth??? The only person so far that came from Besaid that sucked was no one... (As far as I could see). And yes when you take Wakka up those levels he isn't very bad. I even won the match against the Luca Goers (or as Wakka said "Goners"). I don't see any reason to say that Besaid sucked in fact I quite liked the island.

Well, if you think about it, Besaid doesn't have much of a talent pool to pull from. It's not that people on the island "suck;" it's that there aren't many people there to begin with. Besaid (and Kilika, probably) couldn't win that many tournaments with the limited talent they had, so they couldn't make enough money to recruit better players outside Besaid. Bigger cities like Luca will have more players to choose from, will win more tournament money, and can go on to have better recruiting practices.

It's easier when a team draws from an entire race or nation of people, too. For example, the Guado Glories probably have a lot of players from Guadosalam and the Ronso Fangs can claim all of Mt. Gagazet as their "hometown." Other Guados and Ronso from all over Spira would play for them, though. I don't even want to get started on the Al Bhed nation. No wonder their team is so good! Any good Al Bhed player would be available for the Psyches, and they'd be more likely to play for the Psyches because the team is so good. A decent human player from Luca probably wouldn't go to play for the Aurochs unless they give him (or her) a great contract, because he or she would be more likely to win trophies with the Goers.

That's what I think, anyway.

Because every sport needs a dire team, and in a game your always lumbered with that team, and so the Besaid Aurochs come to being. :D

Well, my Aurochs are pretty good. I'm using the original six: Tidus, Datto, Letty, Botta, Jassu, and Keepa. Trust me, do NOT let Datto go! He's one of the best forwards in Blitzball. (at least that's what i think.)

Lol i think i let him go :( Then again Im not sure. He could be in my defence :)

I never really got into the blitzball minigame... so I cant tell who sucked and why though you do have some valid points... the teams with the biggest player pool usually can pull all stars into their team easier than smaller ones...

my aurochs are porb the best eam in the league atm
i nvr traded a player their are only 2 teams that probably put up a challenge to them now and those that can arent pure( having all their original members)
