Anyone else here a fan of this BBC show? I was originally quite sceptic because it seemed like just another attempt to cash in on the Twilight craze. The show's premise, a were wolf, a vampire and a ghost sharing a house in Bristol, also sounded exceptionally lame.

After reading some rave reviews, I decided to give it a go anyway. I liked it right from the first episode, but it wasn't until the 3rd episode when
the ghost Annie finds out that the fiance she's been pining for actually killed her
I got truly hooked.

I remember when it was first advertised and people werent keen on it, but its a decent show. The characters are good and you cant help but feel for them when the shit hits the fan for them. Which is alot lol! I havent watched any of series 2 yet and may get them in a doublepack. But I say give it a go people, its interesting, scary and funny!

It was never cashing in on the Twilight craze at all and came before the films. :ahmed:

This is one of the few series that the BBC has definitely got right. I love the characters, especially Mitchell. It's not one of those shows too over the top like True Blood, thankfully. I've yet to see the last few episodes of the second series. I'm hopelessly hooked on it.

Thanks for mentioning that, didnt even see that part. Its been out for years! I dont think the story sounds lame, if anything its different and sounds interesting!

I found this series very enjoyable and original. I could identify with the characetrs very well, in particular Annie, who played her part as the recently deceased ghost well. It's quite an emotional show, with the right amount of build up and action for those who enjoy the actions.

I watched the pilot on BBC3 a couple of years ago and thought it was brilliant. I was really disappointed when I found out they'd changed two thirds of the cast though (only the werewolf was kept on), so I didn't bother watching it when it started properly.
I may give it a shot in the future, but I'm not all that fussed really. I've heard it starts well and loses steam in the second series.

I said that's what it "seemed" like to me ;) I only just heard about it late last year and only started watching it, so I wouldn't know about any of that. The actual first season did start after the first Twilight movie though, did it not? I seem to remember reading in SFX that it's a 2009 show.

The actual pilot aired 18th February 2008, whilst the greenlit series started airing 25th January 2009. So the premise came before the Twilight films. I'm a fan of Twilight myself, but to say it's cashing in is quite unreasonable.

Good that noone said that then. ;)

I'm halfway through season 2 now and so far I think it is just as good as the first one.
Mitchel throwing a massive tantrum over Real Hustle being moved from it's usual time slot was absolutely priceless.
