Have you ever felt somewhat pressured to spend that little bit extra money on something you really don't want to buy?
I was offerred a ticket for a local band's first gig in Glasgow (further out than where we come from) and for a cheap price of £6, including the cost of the provided bus, I thought ... meh, why not? All of a sudden, there's a tenner stuck on top of the ticket price for the bus trip and possibly more when we get into the gig.
I just agreed to buy said tickets, since it was a month ago, because I was feeling somewhat pressured to say "yes, I'll come!" by everyone. Now that the tickets have been reserved for me, I feel a bit disrespectful in saying "I no longer want to come" (the band aren't that great and it's a fair whallop of money for an unemployed teen) and so have ended up coughing up £20 altogether for the sake of a night out I'd rather do without.
