This dude must be a beast. I mean, the only guardian Dona has. Now considering the battles Yuna, Tidus, Auron, Wakka, Rikku, Lulu and Kimarhi face which can be pretty hard, Dona and Barthello surely must be rathar strong, don't ya think?

Yeah he must be...in more ways than one if ya'know what I mean ;)...unless they chat and wear Armour with Enc None on.

Yea, Obviously he is going to be unbelievably powerful, although what you also have to take into account is Dona's Summoning ability. I found that if you had Yuna as a main party member then her Aeons would become extremely powerful so surely the same could be said about Dona. She is in every fight with Barthello so surely her summoning ability would be grater than Yuna's.

maybe his obsession with donna turns him into a raging psychopath that destroys everyone .. hrmm sounds scary now that i realize he's the only one protecting dona maybe he was a master in a hidden art or like i said before nuts.

No. You are assuming that he faces the same difficulties as Yuna, which he doesn't. If, however, we were to say he is extremely strong we'd have to say the same about Maroda.

Yeah because it's not like Pacce's gonna do anything is it? Or does he have a gun like Yuna in X-2? XD

Maybe not the whole Seymour, Yevonite, Evrae etc battles, but surely they'd face the same fiends.

This is actually a very good point. When I first read this thread's first post, I really couldn't give a good explanation. I'm sure the guy is strong... but he can't be superhuman. There's no reason for it. But this does give some reasons why they could survive the same areas as Yuna with less guardians.

As for Placebo's arguement, I have to agree that... while Dona and Barthello didn't go through the same trials and tribulations as Yuna and her guardians, they did travel the same areas. You can't make the statement that he's weak or strong, IMO, because you never see it first hand.

I dunno he is a big guy and all that but he doesnt really look the part u know?
Him and Dona would definitely have had it easier than Yuna and co. They didnt have to fight seymour 4 times. My guess would be that they simply floated from temple to temple riding on chocobos until Dona got abducted by the Al Bhed in macalania woods.
Funny when he asks to shake Aurons hand.

Oh yeah, that was well funny. Like Moonchild said though, they probably had Enc None on. XD Lazy people aren't they? Not the best of pilgrimages.

I'm pretty sure they would have got through most battles just fine, and tbh, other thanthat hatever it is Yunalesca sends from Zanarkand at Gagazet, I dont think i would be necessary for a Summoner and her guardians to travel - they could have enc non as Moon said, or simply have some form of transportation

Chances are they might not make it past that fight or through Zanarkand

He does look pretty burly though, brute strengh naff all up top Id say

I wonder what his fighting style is? He obviously uses his fists but he looks like the wrestler type. I would have loved to seen him finish off a Dual Horn with Brett Heart's Sharpshooter move. lol (I had to look that up... I hate wrestling lol)

I don't think she ever made it to Zanarkand because when she's on the Al Bhed ship when you're looking for Yuna she asks Tidus what he thinks about her quitting her pilgrimage. So I think she only made it to the Moonflow because you never really see her again.
I think as well that if you go to the Djose Temple not long after this part you will see her and Barhello getting ready to go home. (This is as far as my memory serves me, correct me if i'm wrong)

I feel sorry for the poor guy. Dona is a complete bitch and treats him like a slave. But yeah, he does seem tough, picking up Tidus for example lol. Made me chuckle. He just grunts doesnt he? Can anyone remember him talking?

He talks in the Djose temple when he asks Auron to shake his hand, apart from that I think he only talks properly in X-2 lol. :)

Bathello was very inspired by Auron. He is his idol. Braska would've origianally have had only Auron as a guaradian, but this drunk guy came over saying 'What's a summer-ner :gasp:?'.
However, Yuna made an excellent point back at Kilika:
'There are as many guardians as there are people I can't trust. I trust them with my life.'
