I was half arsed watching tv yesterday when the adverts came on and I just caught 'just in time for christmas' it was summat liek sainsbos/morrisons, defo a supermarket ad anyway, I just looked up and saw a baubel.

Is it just me, or does it REALLY fuck anyone else off that they start these adverts so early? All this hype for ONE DAY. It's no wonder I hate Christmas when it gets rammed down your fucking throat for months in advance

IT'S SEPTEMBER PEOPLE GET A GRIP

Anyone else seen an ad yet? ]:

Seriously? A Christmas advert already? Good grief. I thought it was bad enough when I saw the shop started selling Halloween stuff :gonk:

I agree though, these days Christmas doesn't seem to be as well...magical as it was when I was a little kid. Part of that might be because of growing up, but I suspect a much larger part is that I'm not aware of how commercial Christmas is, companies just whore it out to make money and sell a load of crappy toys for kids.

It's worse when it gets to December though, and everytime you turn on the radio station Mariah Carey starts to play ;_;

Ugh already? they get worse every year...so I guess there going to be advertising January sales in late October this time round ><

I'm sure I wouldn't be so bah humbug about it if they held off the ads til like, late october, but its just ridiculous how soon the ads start flying about. I wonder if it was always liek this and I just never noticed....either way, they should back off -__-

I keep seeing back to school adverts and its pissing my head in. School started 2 weeks ago so fuck off etc etc. Also I have seen 1 christmas advert but why now its too early :ness:

It is quite silly, hearing that they are advertising it already. However, when I think about it, it'll only feel like two weeks until Christmas arrives. I guess they're just preparing us, even if it is stupidly early.

Yes it's always been like this. Our perceived image of Santa Clause is derived from Coke's advertising, before coke got hold of him, he dressed in Green. I don't know why most people complain about how commercial Christmas is, most of them aren't very religious. Advertising this early must be the best way to sell their products, so they need to do this to keep their jobs and feed their wives and kids:elmo:

I don't watch T.V like, ever, so I wouldn't be able to see an advert anyway. XD

It is stupid that they would start advertising so soon. It just makes everyone turn into ridiculous lunatics.

Everyone turns into the Grinch at Christmas time. Makes me wonder why they bother. <_<

The thing that annoys me is that for the last 4 years I have worked in retail and I have to listen to Christmas songs non stop from the end of November to sometime in January. <_<

Evilness.

Haha I used to work in a clothes shop so I feel your pain, I used to die a little inside everytime some bastard christmas song came on, infact we just had christmas tapes and just listened to the whole album on repeat. It's no wonder I turned into the Grinch myself really. If only I could go into hibernation -_-

I haven't seen an ad yet but I was walking down the high street and there were 3 men dressed as Santa Claus singing songs :ffs: I'm still enjoying the last few days of my SUMMER holiday.
It's overkill. The earliest I would start the Xmas 'hype' would be 1st December.

Dudes, i went in Ikea yesterday and there was only a line of chritmas trees along the inside of the entrance, I did exclaim rather loudly that it was only September and they need to naff off ¬_¬
