... or are the sales in the UK this year absolutely shite? I haven't seen a single thing that I've liked in any sales anywhere, except the two things I got at work.
I'm hoping HMV's sale will bring up the standard when it starts.

I havent even looked yet. Ive got vouchers for republic but ive not even thought about spending them yet. I'm trying to avoid buying dvds as it seems i always waste my money on them. 4 for 20 quid or whatever is a good deal but when i think about how much money ive wasted on dvds, its a bit silly. Might get round to having a look this weekend though.
Sometimes clothes etc are so expensive you wouldnt even know the prices had been slashed as the shops are still charging over the odds.

The sales are ALWAYS shite though. They take overpriced shite and lower the price so it almost seems worth it. The catch being most of the stuff in sales is pish they can't sell any other time of the year. Online shopping is the way to go.

I very rarely go clothes shopping now, unless it's something I need. I was looking on New Years Eve for stuff that night and just ended up getting non-sale stuff in Next because the only thing I saw that I liked was too small for me.
DVDs and CDs is mainly what I'm bothered about, I've got enough clothes to see me through. I've already spent £40 on play.com this week on stuff and it's likely to go up again since HMV don't sell the Gavin & Stacy complete boxset. ):
