Alternate Roads RP

Stephen was surprised by what Vesper had just done, none of them knew vesper, and he had just out and asked Yuna if he could join her and become a guardian. this puzzled Stephen, even though the man had explained that he lost his memory, Stephen still had to ask himself "can he be trusted" Stephen then grabbed the handle of his sword and pulled it from the ground, flashing off a bit of skill as he raised it towards his back, via spinning it around a couple of times, Stepen then sheathed it again.

Sera was rather amused. Would there be a new member to join the group now? She didn't mind this anyway, he did look strong, though she was curious to know his battle capabilities in greater detail.

Nonetheless, the more the merrier, she knew to have more people in the fight against Sin would make it all easier.

Releasing the grip on her weapon, she eased away from a tense position and watched on. No doubt, it would be interesting to see Lady Yuna's reaction to this, would she accept him as a new member?

(OOC: .. Obviously she will..)

OOC: Crap, so soon, well, ok.

IC: After Yuna heard Vesper's plea, it made her think what other had thought of Stephen when he washed up on Besaid, saying that he is from Zanarkand. She thought carefully, and asked to Sera, Stephen and Roland, "I accept, What do you think, my friends?"

Vesper was happy at Yuna's response but didn't show it and turned to face the three guardians around him. An archer and two swordsman of sorts, Vesper couldn't be sure on the swordsman fighting styles but they should have skill enough to be dependable guardians. Vesper looked each in the eye as he always did to new people he meet and he could see each had some experiences that were of use to him as Vespers were to himself. Vesper watched the three calmly and silently, he was waiting for a response.

Stephen looked at Yuna as she made her statement, Stephen smiled "ed'c ib du oui Yuna" Stephen announced before shaking his head "Sorry, i mean It's up to you Yuna" Stephen announced, screwing up with the Al bhed tongue, he hoped that Wakka wasn't in hearing distance of that as the two had become friends.

Stephen glanced at Vesper and smiled "I guess that you just got a new job" Stephen informed Vesper, "Full time protecting Yuna, if you fail and Yuna dies, If me and you survive, I'll kill you myself" Stephen announced "and thats a promise, Yuna is spira's only hope, and if she fails it's on us"

Vesper walked over to his scythe and picked it up one hand rotated it in a full circle before resting it on one shoulder.

"If you could kill me that is", Vesper said with a joking laugh as neither him or Stephan new who was strongest and for all they knew they would kill each other in a fight. "Anyone if Yuna's going to die I would have died already to protect her", Vesper said in a much more serious tone before adjust his scythe so it rolled over his shoulder and slid into place on his back. Vesper then looked at Yuna. "I thank you for letting me be your guardian, my life is yours, while I stand you shell not be harmed", Vesper said still calmly and seriously.

OOC: Is it ok If I proceed to the next part, after 7 pages of Besaid, we need to move to a new location.

"Thank you" Yuna said happily. She then left to go to the summoner festivities that would go on to continue into the night. Among a crowd of people, who wanting to see the aeon that the 17-year old summoner had received, fuffilled their wish by using twirling her staff around, causing lights to form around her. These lights then shot up into the sky and in a burst of light a creature came down to the ground, only to open it's wings and slow it decsent as it landed. The townsfolk watched in awe as they saw an aeon for the first time in many years. Yuna walked up to the aeon and rubbed it's mane, symbolising her friendship with Yuna that would continue for the days to come.

Vesper watched the Aeon calmly from the side lines, there was something almost familiar about its appearance. Vesper shock his head to be rid of these thoughts and started to walk towards the outside of town, Vesper didn't know why but he hated being in a crowded place, lots of people made his quiet uncomfortable and he needed some quiet. Vesper saw the other guardians as he passed through the gates that entered Besaid and after a short while found a quiet place just up the road from Besaid, here Vesper sat and looked at the stars calmly.

"Tomorrow we leave for Kilika", Vesper muttered to himself.

Stephen stood and watched the Aeon form in mid-air and fly down, landing next to yuna "Valefor" Stephen muttered to himself, almost as though he had seen the Aeon before. he strode out of the village and headed up to the Statue of Leviathan. he stood looking at it and then to the floor.

"I know i will be able to protect Yuna, i have to" he muttered, he though nobody was around, but the sun had set so it was dark. Stephen placed his hand on the statue and it emitted a strange blue glow. "Lord Braska, give me strength" he muttered, a strange announcement, but Stephen didn't care.

Vesper raised an eyebrow at Stephans remark over the statue, he must have not seen him because of the dark but Vesper sharp eyes allowed him to have nearly perfect night vision. Vesper watch for a few seconds before heading silently back to the village. The moment he entered he check that Yuna was alright, she was surrounded by people talking calmly to her and asking questions. Vesper took saw the other guardians keeping an eye on her and regarded it as safe, Vesper headed to the inn to grab some sleep.

And thus concludes the events, with Vesper now officially recruited into the group. Although Sera was still suspicious of this person, Lady Yuna has already granted him her trust, so she could do nothing, but do the same.

Anyway, if there were anything else strange about him, it could be identified later on as the journey progresses. For now, rest is what Sera needs. Turning to the inn, she headed towards it, intending to turn in for the day.

After the celebrateion ended, Yuna headed off to her house. She knew that she will need all their help in the coming battle against Sin. Though people don't seem to trust Vesper at first, they will come to know him better. Yuna then went into her bed and fell asleep.

The next day, Yuna woke up and started packing gifts for her trip. But Lulu came in and said, "Good morning Yuna." After she noticed what Yuna is doing she said, "You don't need all that luggage." Lulu said, to which Yuna replied, "There not really my things, these are gifts for the other temples." "This isn't a vacation, Yuna." "I guess....your right." Yuna finally stopped packing and left the house with Lulu

(OOC:I'm guessing that second Yuna there should really be Lulu.)

Yawning, Sera stretched her arms and got ready for the day quickly. She was rather excited, having finally received her Aeon, Lady Yuna should finally be moving on to the next part of the pilgrimage.

Combing her hair, she looked outside her room. The sun had already risen and brought it's warmth to the lands. Furthermore, the children were already playing.

Sera sighed. It wasn't as early as she hoped to be, but she grabbed her sword anyway. Leaving the inn, she made her way to Yuna's house. Certainly, she hoped to be the earliest once again..

Stephen's eyes slid open, he was lay in the Crusaders hut. he sat up and ran his hands through his hair before letting out a large yawn. he stood up and saw a new female crusader blushing in the corner, Stephen looked down and remembered that he had taken off his T-shirt before he had gone to sleep. he smiled at her and spun around, he heard a gasp.

Stephen glanced over his shoulder and saw the crusader looking at him in shock, "it was the tail of a behamoth on mount Gagazet, the thing pierced my back and did some damage" Stephen explained before pulling on his clean shirt and styled his hair.

Stephen then grabbed his sword and headed out to the center of town, he stood in the town square and waited for the others to arrive.

Vesper was awake but as always he lay in bed relaxing till he felt ready to get up, as he rose he glimpsed Sera heading off. Shes eager, Vesper thought with a smile before rising himself, Vesper picked up his shoulder armor piece and the one gauntlet he did have putting them both on. Vesper then left grabbing his scythe with one hand as he left and putting it across his back as he left the tent. Vesper saw Sera walking towards Yuna's house and ran to catch up he was bored and needed something to help him wake up and a conversation should do just that.

"Hey there Sera", Vesper said in a friendly tone as he slowed to a walking pace next to her. "How are u this morning?" Vesper added casually as he stretched his arms over his head.

Vesper suddenly appeared beside Sera, startling her slightly. "Hey there Sera, how are you this morning?" He asked, casually.

'The new member was trying to be friendly!' Sera thought. 'I'm still wary, but I guess this situation's very much similar to the time when Stephen joined us..'

Smiling back gently, Sera returned his greetings," Good morning, Vesper. I'm feeling great. What about you?"

'At the very least, I should try to accept him now that he's going to be with us for quite some time...'

By habit, Sera stopped walking, and looked to Vesper as she spoke. To her, it was courteous to give someone one's full attention when that person speaks. 'Yet, most find this rather strange' Sera noted mentally as she waited for Vesper's reply.

The moment Sera stopped her step so did Vesper he thought it was a sign of respect or something and accepted it before responding.

"I'm alright a bit sore from standing around the last two days waiting around, doesn't do good to your legs carrying around a 100 kilogram scythe either", Vesper said calmly before laughing as he finished, his weapon was extremely heavy which was one of the reasons why it could counter so aggressively. Vesper had the strength to lift this but he always used momentum to move it around properly. Vesper discarded the thoughts of his weapon and took a look at Sera's. "Your a swordsman right? What style do you use?", Vesper asked interested as Sera's weapon did look unusual. Vesper didn't know why but he felt similar to Sera and wanted to have her as a friend rather than a person whos nutural or hostile.

'So now he asks about my fighting style...' Sera thought. 'Suspicion has it's limits, and now that's he's defined as friend, I really should be more open...'

As she noted this mentally, her expression softened. "Well, that scythe is certainly heavy, isn't it?"

Despite wanting to be more friendly, she decided evading the question would be best, both for the wariness she still had, and the bad memories it evoked. Especially so of the story of how she earned the nickname 'Angel of Death' back then.

Looking down, she sighed. Yet the fact Vesper would know her battle style sooner or later prevented her from holding back the answer.

"My style? I think it's not much, just ordinary swordplay, throwing in some elemental buffs." She replied, her face cold and melancholic.

'What's past, is past. I really should put those memories aside and focus on the mission at hand..'

Stephen saw Vesper and Sera stood chatting and he jogged over to them. "Morning guys, hows things with you two?" he asked in a polite and happy tone.

'wonder what they were talking about'
stephen's thoughts began to run rampant as they often did "although it can't have been anything to personal, I remember when i came back from Zanarkand she didn't trust me for ages, but i did earn her trust" Stephen shook his head and focussed back on the conversation.
