Ok, before anything if this is in the wrong section, then move it please.

Me and Red Fox wanted to go for a small contest of texturing a weapon.
He made a sword model and each of us had to texture it the way he knows.
Here are the swords:

Texture by Red Fox:

Textured by Baron of Dusk (me:wacky:):

(If you look closely on mine, you can see that glass on the table reflects the sword a bit. that is because of my damn renderer >_<)

So people vote in poll and post of why do you think who's is better.

I personally think that Red Fox's was done a little better, and the end of yours looks a wee bit choppy. Or did you intend to make it look rusty? :elmo:

Yeah I noticed that too. That sometimes occurs on my program when a model has a lot of triangular polygons and then it gets a weird texture on some places.

I like Red Fox's because the lighting and contrast seems to be better.

I like Baron of Dusk's.

I like the lighting, and there are smalls patchs of light shining on the handle and such.

Though I do like the refletion in the glass table of Red Fox's.

Red Fox was slightly done better due to the lighting and shadow. I must say that I do like how you did your guard though. It actually looks a bit realistic due to the small lighting and the subtle hint of reflection.
