A Noob at Photoshop

Wait a minute...on the first sig...I see black lines on the left-bottom outside of the sig. o.o What's that...?

That's the leftovers of my failed attempt at creating a kick-ass border. I was going to go erase the edges with those lines, but then I realized I couldn't do that since I don't have the right brushes, so I deleted it. I guess I didn't clean up good enouh.

Lol figured. But that's odd. I didn't think it was possible to even leave leftovers outside of a signature...did you save the file as .gif, .jpeg, or .png? I used to save mine on jpeg, but found out that .png works best.

Oh. Well, go to image>canvas size, then resize the size of the canvas. It's easier if you set the size to pixels instead of inches, since it's easier to visualize.

What it does is that it extends the borders of you signature.

Wow, it seems I've come a long way since the beginning of this thread.

This one is good but I'm not about the big ass empty space I like the grungy looks in it.

This one is good but not great, I think it needs more work, since the only thing that attracts me is that light on his shoulder

I love that one, the colours are amazing! , and I like the way you've put the logo in the bottom right. The effects are fantastic, I love the vectors used on the right, the font's spot on and the border's unreal. Keep it up!

I really like this one, pity about the player though ¬¬ but seriously its a very good sig, i like the sharpness the whole tag has. That combined with the lighting and the stripes at the back makes it very cool Good work man.

Well, I churned out this one. It's not as good as the Gerrard one, owing to the complete lack of Real Madrid crowd images that are good out there. .

Update:

That is seriously hot. I like the border style and the tag has that slight embossed look to it. The color scheme is very appealing and the effects are just right. Not too much or anything, but enough emphasis to fully capture that action feel overall.

So far so good. It gives off that clean look and the smudging is coming along great so far. I can't wait to see the finished product!

Literally had me gaping there when I saw this piece. It's absolutely fabulous! Again, what I love about your signatures is that you complement the stock with the way you do your effects. It's not just ANY effects, but there seems to be some thoughtful way of how you go about doing them and the manipulation is quite striking. The smudging is brilliant as always and the colors are in line and balanced. Again, the emphasis of the action-feel is there and the style is great! I'm a fan of your work, so hopefully you'll keep making more awesome signatures.

I Really like the john Lennon one. How did you do that? I remember you saying you painted them with photoshop but i cant figure out how.
Its a nice effect although i think its a tad too much on the blurry side, i think if a few more of the main features were sharpened it would look better.
Your Berlin sig was awesome, i couldnt believe when i saw it i was totally shocked. How u manage to put all those stock in and make it look like that i dont know, it was mega impressive.
