We dont have anyspells really effective against them now do we? really, if they use osmoses, then they will take away our chance to heal, then cast regen on themselves, and cast a hurtful spell and we are done lol...
But most warriors can deal more damage than average spells. Also some of the spells must be added up to build some significant damage. Also, once a Mage runs out of MP, they are practically dead meat, but Warriors can still attack regardless of their MP. Warriors can also wield heavier equipment, thus having armors with higher defense.
yes i see this, but if you think about it, curse over time, can deal huge damage. with curse plus lantern that a tonberry uses, your dead.
And really, regen makes battles vs. your opponents last over 1-4 hours LOL. Because you can never die hah
and like Dlain said, when LK was here, he had high spd and instantly owned me. Now im not trying to complain, and i see these things are fine, i just thought it should be pointed out. Sorry if im nagging you JA.
this is a senario if i was a pure mage like lk was.
hp 1500
mp 2000
str 10
mag 300
def 10
dex 10
eva 10
spd 240
m-def 10
see i would pwn everyone due to my high spd and high mag.
Yes, but the same example works for general battles. The one who strikes first has the advantage. Also a warrior can use spells as Cascara to shield themselves.
Well, I guess we could add a weaker version of Osmose, but I need to discuss this with Koloth.
Osmose is a Mage only spell and will remain a Mage only spell. Remember that Mages do not get Imbune and they really cannot use attack types. As we all know attack types can give rediculous STR with Berserk and Imbune. Also haste can add some advantage if the warrior gets more than one turn at a time.
key thing here to what you said. Warriors may get Imbune and beserker, but say bye to it once they cast osmoses on us. And for haste, cant use it either seeing as mages can and that osmoses will get rid of it.
For that, you have your Pet. You see Pets can use potions on users, and remember Osmose is a user-only spell meaning that the main spellcaster will be busy attempting to take out your MP.
Just find a way to be resourceful about it. If you can't find a strategy to beat a mage, then that's your own problem, not the fact that you lack Osmose.
