Vincent says that Omega and Chaos have returned to the planet. Does this mean that Chaos no longer is inside of him?

Also, what happened to Shalula? Is she still unconscious?

Then we have Lucrecia. How come is it that she still remains in the crystal?

And finally, Shelke. Will she remain a child forever?

It's greatly appreciated if you can answer my questions because I've been so confused since I finished the game about some certain things. :)
 
Chaos seemed to be forced into Vincent by Lucrecia, but that's not to say this was a 'replica' of Chaos. Chaos seemed to be a separate entity to Vincent (due to Vincent losing control, etc), so Chaos fading back to the planet is entirely possible. I'm pretty sure it stated as much at the end of the game.

Shalua suffered brain damage, and will not ever be conscious. She can live out a natural life, but not technically 'live' to experience it. They didn't give any indication that they'd stop sustaining her.

Lucrecia mentioned, in one of Vincent's flashbacks, that her body has turned to dust, or rotted away... something along those lines. I'm guessing when we saw Lucrecia in the crystalized lifestream, it was in Vincent's dreams/thoughts. I don't have any conclusive evidence to back that claim up however.

Shelke remains an untold mystery. Her body was kept in her childlike state, so whether that indefinitely stunted her growth is unknown. If her suit was mako-bearing, then she's on the way to recovery, because she wasn't wearing it in the end cinematic. But after being denied growth for 10 years... I doubt anyone would recover from that. Maybe she just has regular mako doses or something... or a patch/injection every now and then.

And thanks for the information, Vergil, although it doesn't matter if you can't answer all of my questions. At least I know some of the answers now.

Does anyone else have any answers or theories?
 
I think Shalua is going to be brought back for future games and movies..she fought well in that one FMV I saw,and I've seen many people who want her to be brought back in a future game. it would be really neat to be able to play her-she's got really good fighting skills and killer moves!
 
Just my opinions...

1) I got the impression that Chaos had left Vincent but its hard to imagine Vince without that dynamic aspect of his character.. Also the Chaos gene is not Chaos itself.

2) Not concious but alive, I'm certain she will be revived/cured in a sequel.

3) Beats me! Is she really in the crystal or is that Vince's imagination?

4) I'm pretty sure that Shelke is trapped in the body of a 10 year old.

I felt that was going on, too. I think it started from when she joined them on the airship and right towards her guiding Vincent to the old Shinra building.

Spammy response aside, I think that's not very likely. Shelke evidently began to open up when people had trust in her; to the extent that they counted on her performances. A positive influence on a person's behaviour, but not enough to unlock something as trivial as love. Hell, after spending ten years in Deepground I find it similarly unlikely that she can even comprehend love, let alone feel it. Besides, everyone was saying the same things to her as Vincent. I doubt there's any further connection between those two (however one sided it'd be).
 
But she was clearly recovering at the end of the game. Personally I think she has fallen for Vincent. I also think that Vince and Red are perfect in helping that recovery. As to future romance.... hmmmm not so sure.
