[30/12] Square Enix Preparing Final Fantasy Type-0?

Type 0... sounds like a shooter game. I've found this on the net, maybe it's just a fake

if it's the real logo, it's very very sad.

I think it's just another spin off. Why don't they concentrate their efforts in a title of the main series? Because we all know that the latest Final Fantasy games are not as good as the oldest for snes and ps1. They should create again the magic of the old titles.

Another way to make money I'm sure. I'm hoping for the best- but I expect the worst, lol. I really hope it's something good. We need something good.

That would seriously be a bad move for Square-Enix, they don't have a chance in hell in keeping up with the likes of Call of Duty, Battlfield, Halo, Gears of War etc.

A plausible theory. I'm sure Square-Enix said quite a while back they were looking to ship it over to another developer. Either way, it's probably for the best western developers or certainly a western branch of Square-Enix seem to be developing it given what they've been churning out lately.
 
Nononono, don't make it a Shooter. D= The furthest I'd go in terms of shooters is Resident Evil. Srsly, I didn't even play DoC cause it was a shooter.

For some reason after another look at the logo in all its kanji goodness, I can't help but have the image of a survival horror Final Fantasy game in my head because it does seem like the typical thing to do for several Japanese survival horror games such as Fatal Frame 4's logo. :8F:

A survival horror FF game is probably a terrible idea as you're probably more likely to run away from a possessed chocobo than a ghost, but seeing as Final Fantasy has branched off with spin-offs into strategy, shooting, racing and even snowboarding territory, why not survival horror? Or I could just be totally wrong. :wacky:
 
The Logo looks really terrible, makes me thing it was made by someone else. :hmm

Yes, that game was canceled...

But that isn't Fortress, or at least that's not what it was called when it was canceled. I always wondered why people called it Fortress when it didn't even have a name yet but was called GRIN's Final Fantasy Project.
(I actually made a post about it on another forum xD)

Lol. This makes me think that Type- 0 is a shooter game, because they keep on making online games to rival World of Warcraft. It just sounds so... 'square-enixish'.
 
I never saw that Fortress was ever cancelled, just taken from Grin and switched to some as yet unspecified developer.

More than likely then it's a PSP or DS game.I am not interested in another one of those.
 
The Final Fantasy Type-0 plot thickens. In addition to the trademark and potential logo we discovered, Square Enix appears to be readying a website for Final Fantasy Type-0 too.

Square Enix registered the domain names finalfantasytype0.com and finalfantasytype-0.com. Both are linked to their headquarters in Japan. While they own those domains, the following related domains are up for grabs:

i dunno if any1 else has thought of it but maybe its a codename for Final fantasy 15 since O is the 15th letter in the alphabet
 
^^^ But then you'd be turning a letter into a number and since theres a logo for "type zero" I doubt it's XV... The mystery of this really draws me in, though I've got a feeling that it's probably some handheld game or something like em...
 
I hope the game is like the older ones; FF2,3,4,5,6. We need more of those, I think we had enough of these more futuristic games. FF games are supposed to, to feel right, not have future stuff in it at all.

Kingdoms, castles, crystals, no pistols or guns. It would be really fun, again xD

I agree except with the damn crystals xD...back to the roots of FF..no more futuristic nonsense.. maybe just 2 high-tech cities but nothing more..

I want secluded towns, shelters..underground passes..great forrests..Hidden locations..a Chocobo paradise.. an island with many oasis.
I want the underground city back (from FF8) I want moomba's, moogles and chocobos ofcourse..

And yeah NO PISTOLS OR GUNS OR LASERS -__-

I want a magic school + military school!

Different races...with each unique abilities.

I want more than 10 summons each prisoned in a shrine or temple of some sort..

but... are we sure that we're talking about a FF? I doubt it..
Sure, it would be funny if it was a FF0 with classical elements of RPG, like summons, castles, old schools.... but I fear it will be another useless futuristic game, or (worse than that) a new endless series!

Final Fantasy Type0... the beginning of everything... hOpE So-HoPe sO-hOpE So XD

Hopefully it will be something cool, interesting, & unique.

That's exactly what I want to see! Races, secluded cities, magic schools, Summons/Espers that ACTUALLY serve a purpose and do things, hidden places, chocobo forests...I want what the games use to be.

If they could at least go back to the older FF games, it would be great again. I have a strong feeling it would...

Oh and definitely! We need a worldmap! T.T

We haven't had one since 9. 10/10-2 didn't have one, neither did FF12 or 13. We need them again. :(
