You'll all still buy the fucking thing. Shantoto, Jecht and folk like that were silly character additions but you still bought it, played it, liked it and wanted more, so they must be doing something right.

Forgive my changing the topic, but does anybody know what the untranslated section in blue at the bottom left says? From a cursory glance, all I can translate is a date: 18th of December. It also talks about "VJ2" and some kanji (the more complex syllables with simpler symbols above). With the aid of an online dictionary, I might be able to make a few inferences.
1: After VJ2, I think they're talking about some sort of demonstration or explanation, with proof. Also, it's said to be big.
2: The last word of the statement is katakana, spelling "Tyutaa". Katakana is for Japanese loan words, so perhaps a tutor will be involved somehow?
3: The Kanji after the date could refer to a second departure (or the first mah-jongg tile - it's really hard to read the inflection on the second word).
From this, what can we infer? Well, something big's probably going to happen on Dec. 18, something referring to an explanation and proof, as well as a mysterious Tutor. It's possible we will learn more about the backstory behind some of the bombshells dropped in this page, possibly even some new info on game modes etc. I would not, however, hold out for another character. Not yet. As for the second departure... I've got nothing. Guess we'll have to wait for the 18th, huh?

That "new world map" is just the FFI world map as the distinctive bird-shaped continent caught my eye instantly. Are they going to reproduce the world maps or something? And I for one actually quite like Laguna, so seeing him added to the cast was a small, pleasant surprise. But if I were to choose a gun-wielding character to add to the roster he wouldn't be my immediate first choice.
