(hopefully this is the right thread; I wasn't sure, but I felt this news had to be shared)

If you’re at all interested in the Japanese side of gaming, you probably read—or have at some time read—Andriasang. Sadly, site administrator Anoop Gantayat announced today that he will be ceasing daily updates immediately.
Gantayat, at the time a correspondent for IGN, started Andriasang in 2008. Current, daily updates and new content quickly made Andriasang a major news source for Japanese gaming fans.
Gantayat said in this most recent post that he’ll continue to update the site’s backend, and that the archive and comments will stay online. Reading the site’s About and Technology pages quickly reveals that the site was as much a pet coding project as it was a journalistic endeavor, so it isn’t surprising that Gantayat will continue to work on the technology itself.
While he didn’t go into exactly what he’ll be doing, Gantayat says he has taken on a new opportunity that he expects to take up a majority of his time.
Both Anoop and his daily updates will be missed. We wish Anoop luck in wherever this new opportunity takes him.

Very sad news for a lot of us on the FFF that turned to that site for information...

Yeah this is not related to SE, but its a shame they quit indeed. I know a lot people happened to use tht site for info.
I use others though, but they probably link bank to Andriasang.

Kotaku (never used it)
Famitsu (rarely used)
Destructoid (stopped using it)
Gematsu (still using)
Vg247 (still using)
Siliconera (stopped using)

Ive stopped using most because I rarely post news on FFF anymore and Im not interested in titles from Japan lately.

The ones I use adress all games also asian so im satisfied.

Like Ohri-jin said. However there are plenty of other sites out there that offer the latest news. Famitsu is used very much, just rarely given complete credit.

*Moved to Midgar forum*

For future reference, please only post news that are directly related to SE in the SE news section. Otherwise, do so in Costa del Sol or Midgar. Thanks =)

yeah this pretty much sucks. Ill be using Siliconera and Gematsu from now on essentially.
