Hold Your Horses, Odin Dusk Is An Enemy In Final Fantasy XIII-2

By Spencer . December 9, 2011 . 1:32am

This Final Fantasy XIII-2 video is supposed to be all about the game’s four disc soundtrack, but there’s a lot of new game footage to see here. Mostly of battles and a desolate wasteland Serah and Noel visit. Watch closely and you’ll see the game’s villain, Caius, fight the Shiva sisters and a fight with Odin Dusk.

I might as well just post all the previews available for this game's soundtrack:

I personally like the songs in disc 4.

Great findings Cid! I will listen to them right now.
Hope to hear mellow piano melodies. I loved the music in FFX-2 btw and actually liked the game even though many thought it sucked lol.

I love mellow piano melodies too! But I can tell you that you will be disappointed because there are not too many of them in this OST. But the ones that are piano based are really good, like this one:

It's most likely the title screen OST for XIII-2.

By the way, I am starting to like FFX-2. I have just begun playing a week ago. Eternity Memory of Lightwaves (the title screen OST) is lovely.

Damn it my sister's laptop keeps shutting down.....

So far I have to say Disc 4 has 2 amazing melodies, those 2 in the beginning. Also on disc2 @ 2:28 IS WOW!

EXACTLY MAN! Eternity Memory of Lightwaves is a song which I repeatidly put on repeat hahaaaaa. One time I popped the disc, but didnt play and just listened for like 30 min. straight xD_

Wish melody cant compete to Eternal memory, but I like it.
Great findings!!! continuing disc 4 now. :griin:

I did something similar. I left the title screen for 10 minutes or so while I ate and bathed XD

Wish has a vocal version in disc 4. It's Serah's new theme.

Except it doesn't, so someone was being deliberately misleading there.

I've not heard that many tracks, but from what I have heard, there are far too many vocal pieces. It feels so overdone. And the Historia Crux one made me quit sampling the game's OST entirely. It's easily one of, if not the worst thing I have ever heard in a Final Fantasy game.

What is up with the first one on disc three? That one is really terrible, and I though the Historia crux one was really horrible. The rap music, Historia crux, and number one on disc three are by far the worst pieces I have ever encountered across the series. Seriously these are just so horrible.

My god, the standards of soundtrack are slipping. This shit is almost as bad as what we were given in FFXIII. Almost, but not quite. Better in some areas, worse in others. But when "better" is "I can't feel the blood leaking out of my ears quite so violently" it doesn't really amount to much.

But one thing that REALLY bothers me is Caius' theme. The sample for that started off brilliantly, but then it dwindled down into a pathetic whimper that sounded more like a shitty background track for a random area than the main theme of the main villain.

Unsurprisingly disappointing. But with the likes of NieR and Xenoblade setting a new standard for video game OST, this really didn't have a hope in hell of measuring up.

This soundtrack is really bizarre but if the scenes match it well enough, I think it'll be great. Some of the soundtrack is simply 'wtf is this shit' but some of it is actually pretty nice. The second song on the Disc 3 preview which sounds like some heavy metal stuff... I wonder when that song plays... Then some other music sounds like 1990s Madonna...
