[08/03] Square Enix Readying New Social Game With Fairies

Square Enix has a new social game on the way for release shortly. It's set in modern Japan and features a number of personable fairies who were designed by Ryoma Ito of Mana and Final Fantasy Tactics A2 fame.

And that's all we know at the moment. This tease comes from Shinji Hashimoto at the Square Enix Twitter.

It is, its crap, I tried it...very boring you really don't even fight, you just feed chocobo raise it, and put equipment on it then tell it to go into the dungeons dont tell it to do anything, and after all that when it grows up you release it the end...

Well years ago I was a huge fan of Tamagochi..and I always loved pets in MMO's etc...its cool to raise your own pet and see it grow etc..unfortunately you never see a game where the pets system is focused on for a big part of the ..well without it being too kiddy lol

Cant play MMO's anymore so this would be fun as I am a huge fan of Chocobos, but then again this is too kiddy and I dislike FB etc........

this doesn't look to be aimed at Square's core fans, but the more casual audience that usually plays games on FB, etc. if it brings in more money for their console games, all the better.

Tamagochi omg I had one of those waaaaaaay back in the day. I'd have to leave it during the day and then when I got out of middle school the thing would always be dead with all of these steaming piles of poop everywhere.

On topic, this game looks 1/4 tamagochi, 1/4 pokemon, 1/4 final fantasy...and 1/4 mystery meat....which isn't all that appealing. No thanks.

It doesn't look very good in graphic wise and it looks rather boring to play and pointless at that. I don't really like FB like games, they aren't very fun

It does have a cute turtle, but the interface screams "boring" to me. >.>
