Right, I've seen some of the gameplay - not all, I just skimmed my way through impatiently and I've some comments.

+ Actually talking to NPCs rather than just eavesdropping gets a thumbs up from me, though it was blatantly obvious they were going to do that anyway.

+ Bresha Ruins...okay, half-dungeon-ish thing and half-town thing. It's not a conventional FF town by the looks of it (that video quality wasn't exactly stellar), but at least it's something.

+ In terms of linearity, I'm not sure. I can't really tell, buuuut, as long as we're not stuck on Cocoon for most of the game where the path is constantly linear with few places to really stop and rest. Here's hoping they have Nautilus in there.

+ A giant arm. Normally I would find that ridiculous, but hey - better than fighting some random PSICOM soldiers and Mechanical Judge Magisters again...right?

- Noel speaking just reminds me that the FFXIII games' dialogue in general is just not up there with the likes of FFXII.

- Oh bloody hell, Cocoon again? Stiiiiiill, I was wondering - if they were indeed using cut content from the first game here - how they were going to adapt all that cut content into a sequel when Cocoon was already as dead as a Dodo.

- The Moogle becomes a weapon? Seriously, why? That's just ridiculous. Is Sazh's baby Chocobo going to do a Power Rangers Wild Force and transform into a Soulbird cannon inside a Megazord next?

- Noel

- The battle system looks the same, complete with Auto-Battle, stagger bar and everything else. I know they weren't going to realistically overhaul everything, but I still wasn't a huge fan of the battle system. Hey, at least I'll enjoy the speed though!

- I'm sceptical of plots involving time travel or time-related paradoxes in Final Fantasy. FFVIII gave me a mini-headache.

Honestly I think it looks pretty good :) Except I really don't like Noel's pants. :/

This looks like a carbon copy of the original XIII...The same battle system, the same monsters (the behemoths, those irritating porcupine-like things, those really irritating metal birds that make that annoying noise when they slide back and forth), the same maps (I believe, for the most part), and pretty much the same characters...although thankfully no Snow and Hope it looks like :gonk:

...and Serah's outfit looks like something out of Star Trek to me :hmmm: The only part of this that looks decent is that Gadot and Lebrau are back and there are new characters.

I dunno I'm getting bad vibes from this one. It might make everyone wish it was Versus they were really playing instead.

HEY SERAH, WHAT ABOUT SNOW? Honestly, I kinda like Noel a lot more already, lol. But still, this looks very messy. I don't really see this as clean, at all. This trailer is only the beginning of the end...

Final Fantasy XIII-2 Lets Players Pick What Noel Says

Not all of the time, but some of the time you can decide what Noel says. Final Fantasy XIII has dialogue trees and unlike Sakura Wars the game waits for a player to select an option.

Deep into the demo, the duo discover an artifact. Part of rebuilding Coccoon, it seems, is tracking down relics. When Noel discovers what he was searching for text choices popped up. Each one was linked to a different button similar to Mass Effect. What does Mog think? What does Alyssa think? and I live in the moment were three of them.

It isn’t clear how these effect the game from a demo alone, but it appears players will be able to impact the game’s story to some degree.

That would seem to imply there is more than one ending to the game.I wonder if that's so.
Of course that would seem to make it more like FFX-2.
The guy as I have said before reminds me of Serge.

Obviously this game was made from the leftovers of FFXIII.That was well known ahead of time.
So people shouldn't have expected any radical changes from that game. Square hasn't had the time to make such changes and obviously they don't see the need to.

Although I was disappointed in FFXIII to an extent, I will probably go ahead and buy this game when it comes out in the US.
Why not ?
Square doesn't seem inclined to do what the fans want anyway regardless of how often we buy their games.

Im just hopeing the story is played out clearly this time arround, since I had to wiki the first ones, wich is a shame since I thought the "story" element of it was interesting but ungodly to grasp with out the help of someone explaining it....
I know I love to start reading a book in the middle just for fun.....

Oh and when I saw Noel I though KH to......But I like him for the fact thet Snow isnt there lord I hope hes died......I realy realy hope theres an end where hes just gone

Noel looks like Squall Leonhart to me. Expect he's wearing Fang's outfit. Though if he had more of a KH vibe, he would have huge goofy feet and brown spiky hair. :tehe:
Know that many people out there hated Hope, but I thought that he was a cool character, okay he had angst, but he just lost his mother at a young age, and he got braver and more happier throughout the adventure. It would be sad, if he's gone in this one. No glimpse of Sazh either, which is worrying because thought that he was really cool too. Maybe they're just going to be NPC's that you could visit in their towns, like you could with Lulu and Wakka in X-2. :sad3:

I saw the trailer. I liked it.

I'm one of those who actually liked FFXIII, believe it or not. The sequel looks quite intriguing and it's got me asking questions already. Where's Snow? Why does Serah only believe that Lightning is alive? What is the threat this time? Is Serah ever going to step out of the damsel in distress role? :gasp:

Quite glad that Serah is taking more of an active role here and this Noel guy is intriguing. Although I find myself confused as to why Snow isn't seen, I'm all for a new character filling in. Slightly annoyed Lightning seems to take a backseat in the trailer, although this might be for the purpose of the overall story.

Decent trailer for now. I didn't mind the battle controls of the original game, so that won't be a problem. No matter how many people complain about this, it's very likely they'll still buy this. xD
