Square Enix has confirmed a hefty line-up of games for E3 this year, with one glaring – if predictable – absence.

Five of the seven games the Japanese publisher is fronting are western-developed; Crystal Dynamics’ Tomb Raider; IO Interactive’s Hitman: Absolution; United Front Games’ Sleeping Dogs; Airtight Games’ Quantum Conundrum; and n-space’s Heroes of Ruin.

Both Japanese games are internal jobs; Kingdom Hearts 3D Dream Drop Distance and Theatrhythm Final Fantasy.

Final Fantasy Versus XIII, announced at E3 2006 as a companion to Final Fantasy XIII, is not included on the list. The RPG has been expected at every major gaming event for the last few years, but director Tetsuya Nomura said in March that the full reveal had been mysteriously held up. The game’s music will feature in Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, though, suggesting it’s not as vapourous as might be thought.

E3 2012 runs June 5 through 7.

Thanks, Gekidami.

Nothing surprising at all. I will be surprised if it's actually in TGS 2012.

no final fantasy X HD either :( once again square enix has disapointed me :sad3:

Looks like getting a Wii-U and heading into the Zelda fanbase doesn't sound like a bad idea. The Persona series looks good as well.
:amg:

Most of those games sound bleh and the only one that sounds like it could be interesting isn't there and hasn't been released even though it was first announced in 2006. -__-

If they didn't dissapoint that would be shocking :gasp:

Too Right ! (y)

It was announced that Versus won't be at E3 last winter.

No FFX HD is a shame, at least a small preview would be nice.

Idk why FFX would be at E3 though, It's just a remake basically, wont have anything new except some graphics... so why bother re-showing something?

Well, for one thing this is the first time as far as I know that HD is done by the developers themselves, and not just by a third party. Which means that the game gonna look extremely good, which I think is a reason enough to show at least the trailer of it.

Inb4 they will re-do CGI. Square loves doing CGI so much after all.

The persona series is great, the story of the series is more epic than most recent RPGs and the gameplay is a classic turn based.

SE is sadly becoming a developer that cant be trusted anymore when it comes to games, remember that i didnt have to read user reviews (Professional Reviews are so Biased, just look at FFXIII) to get a SE game, Valkyrie Profile, FF8, FFX are games that didnt needed a second though getting.

The only title that i cared about wasnt even developed by SE: Batman Arkham Asylum.

It is a shame that FFX HD hasn't been mentioned. I just want a round-about date to look forward to :/
Same with Versus, but did anyone really expect a date now?

Ugh, yeah thats disappointing. Though Tomb Raider and Sleeping Dogs are looking decent. But I want RPG's from Square, not all of this stuff.
