Maybe you just don't like the game enough to see how addictive it can be? Of course it has the "I feel like playing the old games again" feel! That's the whole point of the game and if watching scenes and listening to the music from the old games doesn't make you feel like playing them again I don't know what will tbh.

The biggest defence is that you'll be playing it for at least months just for the style of game that it is...it doesn't need to be huge. Just look at Guitar Hero for a sec: barely any collectables and just songs (that I've heard of) and yet people continued to play that for yeeeears. Why? Because it's addictive. Simple as that.

not all of them are cinematic scenes. And it is a rythm game you wont have much of a chance enjoying the nostalgia.

And guitar hero is more enjoyable with the guitar control, and has additional unlockables such as characters, songs, guitars, alternate outfits, and recently make your own character.

Ah, the game certainly made me feel nostalgic for FFXII! That was the first FF I completed, so it's been a while.

I'm working through VII currently, but the scenes should bring back those key moments to anyone who worked through the story years ago. The decision to use Aerieth's Theme was a good one, as this is played at what is quite possibly FFs most famous scene!

FFVIII's was less nostalgic inducing, but that's partially because the song used it Waltz for the Moon and not Eyes on Me, which would have been more effective.

The events sequence for FFX was actually better than the music video created for Suteki Da Ne all those years ago! The timing was better and scenes changed at more suitable points; they were more varied and better reflected the entire mood of the game.

XIII's was rather fabulous too! A very good advertisement for the game. It makes it look quite action packed!

Sakura The story is non-existent (but there is some tiiiiny story going on at the very start). The game starts you off on Basic mode, which is simple, and gives you more of a challenge on Challenge mode. There's apparently a secret mode to for the people who want to throw their 3ds at the wall

Terra is so precious! I just wanna hug her! I'm surprised they didn't include Celes; she needs a spot outside of Final Fantasy VI! Perhaps the next Dissidia?

*oh my goodness I fangirled at Locke's quote "Have you...always been that pretty?" T.T*

I love this game. Seriously. It has some faults like the opening and ending just touch the crystal can be a bit dull but apart from that, it's a great game !

However I hate how they haven't translated the old speech boxes into English, Melodies of Life is Japanese and they used Waltz to the Moon instead of Eyes on Me during the Cinema clip. Whhhy ?



Aerith's theme and Suteki na De were good choices however and Celes's theme for FF6. So many memories. It's so worth a buy if you have played all of the main titles and have gotten far in them, otherwise the feelings might be a bit lost and it's very spoiler heavy.

Though wish that they used Eyes on Me during the cinema round instead of Waltz to the Moon and translated the speech boxes so it feels like your looking back at your experience of the Final Fanasy games instead of a musical game with pictures of the Japanese versions in backgrounds. A little annoying. And the english Melodies of Life.

Playing through the Chaos Notes now and working to get the extra characters.
