i think it's because alain is a much more badass and cool name than cuthbert, so it seems to suit cuthbert's character more.

hahaha cuthbert is chubby and blonde in the graphic novels, and i think that sort of suits him. i think a slightly younger john cusack would have made a god eddie.
i had a brilliant revelation earlier when reading the gunslinger: liam neeson to play cort. he looks totally different in the graphic novels (he's sort of squat and bald) but i always imagined him to look a bit... hairier when reading the books.
