There used to be a guy in school with me who was the absolute spit of Rodney. They do have some great comedies, but they are much more appealing to the wider audience. It's so easy to quote a joke from scrubs than it is from something like Brasseye, or even Father Ted. House is great, America does blow us away when it comes to really excellent drama series. Also I might be wrong but has any American show been brought over and made British, in the same way they took the office, shameless, and skins?

They actually never will, we actually had a big conversation about this in the pub a few nights ago. That all their sitcoms have that recorded laughter to basically let their audience know when something is meant to funny etc.

Not to mention the bits they do get they butcher, did you see the US version of the IT crowd?

Ohhh I feel for anyone who works 12 hour shifts...because my brain isn't what it used to be like 10 hours into a shift Thing is I better start getting used to them because whenever I get full-time status after I start working my real job in December and thats usually three 12's and an 8 hour shift per two week pay period. Most people do 12's Friday, Saturday, Sunday and an 8 that next Monday...that way they get a whole bunch of days off in a row and still get in their required third weekend to work.

...and I'm glad the work thing is going better for you. It stinks when I hear people are miserable at their jobs because we spend so much of our lives working

Well Saturday wasn't too bad...it was an average-ish day at work. YESTERDAY THO OMG Lew it was horrible busy...we had like 5 regular delieveries and 1 stat Section so I worked a 12 hour shift (7-7) I was so tired when I got home I like it busy but days like that make my head spin a bit.

How is work for you? About the same or are you looking out for something new?
