In FF 7/8/9/10 and even 10-2, they just pull your heartstrings, I think especially in 10 where Tidus has to basically kill his dad and it was just..emotional warfare by the end I couldn't see the screen coz there were floods of tears in my eyes. Not too many other games manage to get you that...
Have any of you missed what most people would call "gems"?
For example, I have never played a single Zelda game (apart from about 20 mins worth of one of them on the DS, train walker or something?) which most gamer friends find shocking.
I personally haven't played Zelda games, System shock 1...
I always prefer darker forums, I have no idea why. I just feel everything is easier to read rather than having everything so bright, it can be quite hard sometimes when people post in silly font colours though, but you can normally get round that by highlighting what that person has said.
I have had a "wall" up for 11 years, thing is I built them too high, until recently I was in a 5 and a half year relationship, during that time I have spoken about my past emotional problems (death of my father at an early age due to cancer and other emotional trauma) on a handful of occasions...
I'd take Rinoa on the Ragnarok and go back out to space (after the moon had returned to normal anyway) and show her the beautiful side of space, I'd also take her outside the ship to try and help her fear of being lost in space (after last time she was out there she'd bound to be scared). I like...
I completely agree, I think after FFX it just went to pot, I don't know if it's just me getting older and having less time for games in general due to other commitments or just losing my passion for games (unlikely as I still play hours worth of other games) but when I brought a Final Fantasy...
Got to be Squall, he was the most interesting character and the most I could most relate to, plus the way he and Rinoa get together is one of the best love stories in all FF's, that and how can you not like the gunblade? Badass weapon, that and his final limit break.
Also loved Zell (funny as...
Got to be Odin, a huge demigod type person wearing heavy armour riding a demonic horse who will cut you down and kill you rather than damage you? It was decided for me in IX when he was summoned by the Queen, my jaw literally dropped and I let out an audible "woh"
Bahamut in 2nd because he's...
It has to be IX, there is just so much right about it, the style, the setting the characters and the combat, plus I'm a sucker for learning things via equipped items. The story is second to none and kept me hooked from start to finish, that game didn't leave my playstation until I had at least...
I feel you Wolf, I dunno if it's just my age but I can't seem to find any RPG's to keep my interest any more, I manage to sit through RPG's like Mass Effect 1 & 2 no problem, but more recent RPG's (including FFXIII) I seem to get half way through then want to move onto something else, I find...
If you hit a guy in the balls every time they call you a bitch I don't know many people that would want to be around you, I find that generally when a man and woman (of young age 12-30 or so) are friends there is a type of banter that involves a lot of name calling, a lot of "bitch" and "whore"...
Are you drawing and junctioning magic to take advantages of your stats? For example Squall and Zell have good stregth and speed, while Quistis and Selphie have good magic stats, obviously the more powerful the magic the stronger the boost in stats you get, if I were you I would find a...
Thanks for the advice Richard, I will probably go for the 6770 as I've done quite a bit of research into it and it's performance on higher demanding games like Crysis 2 and BF3.
Hi guys & girls,
I'm looking into upgrading my graphics card, currently cruising with 1GB Geforce 9800GT and while it does the business for all the games I currently own, I want to see the full graphical potential of my games, Skyrim runs on medium settings (apart from some options) and I want...
