[CX] The Facility

So Fortune's Hunter is still going on? :hmmm: I must resist temptation.

Ryan, how do you like the story so far? Tried co-op yet? My husband and I took turns playing the campaign for 4 hours straight last night. xD

I wasn't sure what it was at first, but since I got the £25 PSN card anyway I decided to get it since you got all the 3 skin packs which were valued at about £7 in total and the maps packs will probably end up coming to about £20/£25 as well :O

I think I'm at Chapter 6... maybe Chapter 7 so the story hasn't really opened up too much I don't think. It's a lot slicker gameplay though, especially in regards to hand-to-hand combat, it's not as easy to take people out via headshots either, almost feels as if they've deliberately made shooting less accurate which makes it more challenging. I approve. (y)

I've not tried the co-op though, I wasn't sure whether it was a co-op through the main game or separate missions o_O I'd prefer to solo through on my first play anyway xD

I've not played online though I'll probably switch soon so I don't blitz through the story too quickly. I definitely agree that the touch-up on Chloe makes her look better, she looks less like she ran into a wall now xD

I don't have the game to confirm this, but I don't think that co-op is the campaign co-op.

I believe there are 5 maps so far... 3 scenarios from Uncharted 3 (at Syria, London and the airport). There is an Uncharted 2 scenario (Borneo) and a scenario from the first Uncharted too (Monastery).

They are scenarios that differ from the campaign itself and do stand alone as a mini adventure... Exactly like UC2's co-op missions, but all the missions in this one are different.

Of course, not having the game... I only know this from Uncharted wiki which I'm going to start avoiding now since I don't want anything ruined for me. :sad2:

Mhm, you are correct Argie. Mits and I played the monastery one, and we died towards the end. I recognized it from Uncharted I as well xD You can not play the campaign together.. I do not think. Co-op adventure is amazing. I really love it. Something confuses me though. At the main menu, there is a mode called co-op.. and yet in multiplayer there is co-op as well. It is confusing.. but I will have to check it out.

Yeah, by 'campaign', that's the story mode. Single-player. There's different kinds of co-ops.

Yeah I find it a bit weird that Multiplayer and Co-op have the same menu options. If you go to both, you can play Team Deathmatch , Plunder, Objective, (etc etc)...Co-op Arena, Co-op Hunter Arena, and Co-op Adventure.

Oh.. yeah it is really weird. I just checked it out, and you are right Mits. They both lead to the same exact thing. Uhm.. pointless much? Also.. has Ryan truly saw the light? I can not believe my eyes! He thinks UC III is better? Well, that is the right way to go. :ryan:

Than cod or the last time I mentioned playing UC3? xD

The multiplayer is significantly better then it was in the beta, which to a degree was expected but no where near to the degree it has been considering the beta was only in June/July :lew:

Than CoD of course. It used to be fun having you in UC II by our side. I am glad to see you have seen the light, Ryan. Yup, the multiplayer is fantastic. I think there are 100 ranks now.. xD How are some people already level 75 on the leaderboards? They played early access 24/7 every day I take it? Looks like you will be playing with Mits, me and whoever now. I am glad :lew:

I think I play COD for different reasons than UC. When I play UC I tend to play solely for enjoyment and don't really care about my stats, but with COD I don't really enjoy it I just get insanely competitive and anal about my stats XD I remember seeing some rank 68 guy yesterday and thinking "you sad, sad man" considering the early access was capped at 685,000exp and this guy had well over 2 million AND he was British so he'd only had the game 2 days max :wacky:

Defo can't wait for some co-op with you guys, it'll be well fun :D

I am surprised to see anybody past 40 to be very honest. I am level 35, and I played a lot of online so far. Maybe 8-9 hours so far. I am on chapter 20 in the campaign now, and I am proud I did not zoom through it. How do you find it? The difficulty? It is so much harder no? Crushing is going to be one hell of a bitch! I am up for it.. I just feel like UC III should be my first platinum. xD Yeah, but it is seriously sad that people are past even level 40 in one day ._.

Level 100 is obviously the skull, but what are those after the skull?

It's worry seeing people clock 25 hours two days after release, it would literally mean having to wake up and play the game until they went to bed. It's sad to the extreme, Uncharted 3 is easily my favourite game I've played right now since I've JUST finished it [definitely whored SP XD], but christ, never in a million years would I think of clocking 25 hours on MP in just two days.

The game is MUCH harder than either of the previous two games, definitely agree there. The AI are more clever, they react to where you are and try to flank you in numbers instead of just hiding like they did in Uncharted 2. Much more challenging but it makes the game far better. Crushing is going to be a massive trophy to do :lew: If UC3 is your first platinum then you could easily go back and platinum UC and UC2 XD

As for the emblems, I really don't know what the bottom set are. I was originally going to say it might be like UC2 when it goes 49... 50... I... II... III... IV... and so on, but that would make the skull pretty much pointless so I honestly don't know. That said, if the guy I saw at 68 only had 2 million exp then there must be some massive exp jumps between 68 and 100 since before the new ranks in UC2 (XI, XII, XIII etc) were introduced, the highest exp rank was 60mil... I think. Eh, who knows.

Yeah, defo going to be terribly long to level up at those points. Oh, you finished it? I am right after the
horse ride on chapter 20.. and I just got into that palace.
How far am I from the end? It says I have 89% complete, so I will pass it tomorrow because I am not home for the rest of the night lol. Yep, I died millions of times on normal. Haha, not really a ps3 trophy whore, but I really would love UC III to be my first platinum. I dunno if I would go back to the previous two. Defo going to be busy with many titles. xD

I'd say that in regards to length until finish you're probably
about an hour/hour and a half away from the finish, from what I can remember, chapter 20 was more of the longer chapters but chapters 21 and 22 aren't particularly long since the story moves quite quickly
but you'll definitely finish it today/tomorrow :lew: You should go back and plat. the first twoooooo :P but I'll definitely be whoring out UC3 until I've platinumed it xD That said, with Skyrim coming out on Friday and attention will be somewhat divided.

Oh, less chapters than UC II? I do find the game longer though. I am getting Skyrim on Friday as well, so yeah Ill defo be swapping in and out. Just not on the ps3 XD Ill be busy with both. UC III is really lots of fun, and well Skyrim will be as well. You want me to go back and plat the first two huh? Maybeeeeeeeeee. Skyrim is going to be so good, and I doubt I will put these two games down for awhile..xD

Someone please remind me to go back through this thread (and also the UC3 thread) to read all of your interesting spoiler discussions when I eventually get the same. Hopefully I can contribute there then! :argor:

I also hope that you still all play the game online in a few months time, even if only casually (as I myself would only be able to).

I'm very happy that the game has been well received, and has been given a fantastic Ryno-rating.

I plan on joining the spoilers when I finish the game later. Still not home at the moment. I will remind you xD Of course I will be playing! I love the game. Yup, the game is fantastic, Argie. I can not wait to play together. :awesome:
