Favorite FFVII Couples

Since this thread doesn't have one *I think*, who was your favorite FFVII couple and I believe this is going to be a battle so let it begin.

Mine are Cloud & Tifa :) *Sorry Aerith* :)
 
Cloud & Tifa.
Zack & Aerith.
Vincent & Yuffie.

Yeah. That pretty much does it for me.

Are we talking about FFVII or Crisis Core or all? I'm not sure if this is personal opinion or if we're judging this based off the actual game and story and events, blah, blah, blah, etc. So, I shall make my answer based on what I saw in the game. First off, the love plots in Final Fantasy VII(PS) was not that good. Now I like VII, but the love story wasn't really there. Aeris and Cloud kinda had a childish "tee hee, you're cute" type of thing going, but nothing solid to classify it. Then Tifa and Cloud was really weird. Tifa had no problem showing her feelings for Cloud but his mind was set on other problems(SEPHIROTH!). So, cast an huge red X for any couple in FFVII.

Crisis Core on the other hand, had an ACTUAL relationship. Zack and Aeris actually date and are together. This is even mentioned in FFVII before Crisis Core was even thought of. Boy meets girl, boy likes girl, boy dates girl, boy gets raped by millions of ShinRa soldiers and dies leaving girl sad. This had emotion and was a REAL RELATIONSHIP.

So my vote for best FFVII couple goes to Zack and Aeris.

And I know I am neglecting the whole Vincent with Lucrecia thing, but that was a subplot for an optional character and doesn't count. Even though Vincent gets his own game....and he's in the Advent Children movie.....IT STILL DOESN'T COUNT!
 
Cloud x Tifa (Childhood friends)

Zack x Aeris (First Love)

Vincent x Yuffie (Yuffie definately have something for Vincent, but I think Vincent still prefer Lucrecia!)

Cid X Shera (Workmates, Shera is the only one that can take Cid's horrible cursing! Glad they got together in the end and forgive each other)

Red XIII x Cait Sith (These two are both cats although the other one is a robot)

Tseng X Elena (Elena have always like Tseng)

Heidegger x Scarlet (These two laugh like idiots ! lol!)

Sephiroth x Jenova? hahah!!! Just kidding
 
Hmm... if I have to pick a Het pairing... probably Cloud and Tifa. Aerith, I think, still holds feelings for Zack, but Tifa I think does have romantic feelings for Cloud. Cloud, on the other hand... you can't tell. He's a tricky little cookie to analyse because he never says anything on the issue. Scratching the back of your head is no answer, Mr. Strife!!!
 
Seeing as I'm not any more inclined towards Cloud x Aerith than Cloud x Tifa, I'd say...

Cloud x Barret (I'm gonna make that happen during my next playthrough!)
Vincent x Lucrecia (Vincent was one of my favourite characters and his and Lucrecia's story was a sad one)
 
I don't think there is a real couple in the game. Maybe I'm just senseless, but I can't see Cloud x Tifa, Cloud x Aerith or Zack x Aerith as real couples. IMO, both Aerith "couples" were just a way to give hints to the player that Cloud was not who he said he was.
 
I personally always put Tifa and Barrett together :)

Aerith and Cloud.

But my absolute favorite is Lucrecia and Vincent, their story is so complicated and tragic and it's sadder than Romeo and Juliet! But they are definitely my favorite :)

Zack and Aeris were a real couple. This is known in Crisis Core and mentioned in VII when Aeris speaks of her "Ex-Boyfriend."
 
Cloud and Aerith. That's what SE slammed into our skulls before/after/during the entire game's existence. Cloud quit being a jackarse because of her, he got into the fight to save the planet cuz of her, he cried his heart out over her, he went depressed over her, his promised land is her church, he has undying feelings for, she's engraved in his heart, and MY WORD, he dressed in DRAG for her. can't ask for more. :wacky:

But besides that, I love CloudxAerith cuz they're so tragic and beautiful, and despite being torn from each other, they still find a way back to one another. They don't let the tragic hand they've been dealt come in between them. Despite all his friends telling him to move on or forget the past, Cloud never will forget her or move on, I think that's evident from the way he's living nowadays. She will forever & always be in his heart for all of eternity.

They're the most beautiful pairing in all of FF's and I think Square enix knows that, too/ ;)

From what I can get from Crisis Core, they were kids playing of boyfriend and girlfriend, as they only giggle and insinuate things, but never admit being boyfriend and girlfriend.

Of course your view on their relationship may be different and it is still valid.

My Favourite Final Fantasy Couple is Zidane and Garnet.

I think they're perfectly adorable together and I loved how their relationship blossomed from almost nothing into something so beautiful.

You could really start to feel the tension between them and I loved it! Also having Eiko in there challenging Garnet for Zidane made it more obvious :)

EDIT: Oops, i'm obviously an idiot and didn't read the title properly X_X I thought this was a which is your favourite couple in any FF game hahaha

Well then, my favourite FFVII couple is CloudxTifa... kind of, to be honest I don't really care about any pairing in this game, they're all so bland and forced onto the fans but I do think if Cloud was to get with anyone it would be Tifa. She suits him better, I felt what Aerith had with Cloud wasn't really anything special plus she
died half way through
so I completely forgot she existed.

I honestly liked - though not an official couple - Auron and Rikku. Even though that relationship was merely father-ish figure, and daughter, I like to think of it as a creepy bf/gf thing. Plus, they had great chemistry imo.

Another couple I took a liking to was Rikku and Tidus. The inner-fanboy of me wishes to god that those two would've gone into a couple, but stupid Mary-sue Yuna had to get in the way. :hmph:.
In other words: Yuna can burn in hell. :griin:
 
Cloud x Tifa all the way and forever, because I don't like tragic couples. :mokken:

And Sephiroth totally has an Oedipus complex, we all knew that.

On an unrelated note, I always found the idea of Balthier x Fran to be hil-arious. :rofl: I mean.... it's a pun so immense, no words can describe it. :dave:
