[CX] The Facility

Do claymores only blow up if an opponent passes in FRONT of it? I've noticed that sometimes they won't explode if someone sneaks up from behind it and only would if they cross it.

Anyways, yeah, you need to find out where people are likely to go and plant there. Be aware that they might blow up without killing anyone if people keep chucking grenades out there or if someone starts using RC-XD or bombs that chokepoint.

Personally I prefer putting them in places that aren't readily visible until it's too late. Usually just a bit to the side of the top of a stair. I know some people look for claymores on the top of stairs and you might lose some if you place it in an obvious location. :hmmm:
 
Yes, Jay, if you look closely you can see that there's like, a red laser detector.
Most of the times if you go near a claymore you'll trigger it but if you pass it just on the side not near the detector, it won't go off.
 
In that case I'll stick with it for now, and see if I can't figure out some of the more popular places on maps. I've got a few ideas for where they should go on some maps, mostly because I've actually played on them properly now.

Doesn't it stick out on two sides though? I still can't tell which from which and I just died from one just a bit ago. :(

Good lord.

I wish I could've seen that other guy's Killcam, or even better Final Killcam. I would have loved to see that thing flying through the air. :wacky:

Unfortunately when you rewatch the games in Theatre you don't get killcams, and from his view, he just falls over. It's like nothing hit him and he died.

Jay, with regards to claymores, youre right when you say there are two lasers but theyre both on the same face of the claymore. One points to the left and one to the right.
 
Usually it's too late for me before I can figure out which end is the arse end of the damn claymore. :(
