Dissidia 012: Final Fantasy gets couple new shots, fantastic art

Now that is some kick-ass art.

Square Enix has released some new shots of Dissidia 012: Final Fantasy. Some are new, some are old.

There’s also a fantastic piece of art featuring Lightning, Kain and the Warrior of Light.

Get them all at RPGSite.

The drop comes a day after it was discovered that uncle of FFVIII lead Squall, Laguna, as well as the world map from the first Final Fantasy was in the game.
Game’s out next spring in Europe for PSP.
Can we stop writing yet?

That is some really nice artwork. I didn't actually play the first Dissidia due to lack of a PSP but if I happen to acquire one, I'll probably check this game out. :lew:
 
Wow, that art is stunning, I'm thoroughly impressed by it. :D Lightning and Kain in particular, and I already knew about Laguna and the FFI World Map being in the game. :P

This game is shaping up to be a great new release for the PSP, can't wait to play it.
 
That art has been seen before no? Well atleast I think I saw it so I am just going to go ahead and say this could be old. But I really like the art. Lightning and Kain look fabulous. Warrior of Light not so much :wacky: Now I am awaiting the 13th and I have hopes for good FF characters to get in.

The artwork looks pretty sweet. And the screen shots are looking amazing as well. For some reason it kind of makes me want to start drawing more often. But I'm still very much looking forward to purchasing this game .

Bro, he calls Ellone "sis" because he was really attached to her. They are not even blood related.

Look:

Ellone is not Laguna's kid, or even his niece. Raine just decided to take care of her after both her parents died. At one time, Laguna went to the orphanage to get Ellone. When he heard she was at Esthar, he went to Esthar. He found her, sent her back to Raine, who was pregnant. (I'll give you one guess as to who the baby is.) Laguna then promised Esthar he would help them. So he sealed Adel and became the president. He later found out Raine died while giving birth, but he couldn't go get Ellone or the new baby (Squall) because he was wrapped up in business. So Ellone and Squall were sent to the orphanage.

Some more evidence:
Kiros, Laguna's longtime friend, says "You look like your mother." to Squall. How would he know Squall's mom if Squall was an orphan?
Laguna also says "I have something very important to tell you after you finish your mission..." Wonder what could be so important it has to wait?

No, undoubtably, all signs point toward Laguna being Squall's father. At the very least, it is much, much more probable than him being Squall's uncle.



...anyway, I'm really looking forward to this game. Laguna is awesome, Tifa is awesome, Vaan is meh, and Lightning is awesome. If Balthier gets added, my life will be complete.
 
Is anyone else supremely disappointed that it's going to be a prequel? On the bright side, it's as beautiful as SE can get...

anyway the new artwork other than that banner isn't really new.. just some screenshots that have already been posted here. Ahh well.
