Oh, and Ringo. You could be happy with Left 4 Dead 2 as well. There's a PC version.
Ashley was my main assault weapon. She could fire two shots at once from any gun for almost three times the damage, and she was voiced by Tara Platt, Mitsuru Kirijo's VA. That sealed the deal.

I may try out ObsCure, both ObsCure 1 and 2 are on the PC. Also, Left 4 Dead 2, in my humble opinion, was inferior to Left 4 Dead 1.

I get what you mean, but I do prefer it, personally. The introduction of the Spitter/Charger/Jockey made things interesting, as did having campaigns set during the day. The Tank could be frustrating at best, though.
I'd advise getting the first ObsCure at least. The second isn't so good and you get a Game Over if any characters die, because they have set storyline deaths.

I just felt that L4D2 didn't have enough new content to warrant a sequel. It was essentially a glorified expansion pack.

Agreed, i tried to like L4D2, i really did, but i just couldnt because it felt like they coulda just released it as an expansion on DLC, the melee weapons were welcome as were the new (i say new, the jockey and spitter were actually scheduled for L4D1 but got pulled due to balancing) infected, but there was just not enough to warrant a full priced sequel.

I think I played a demo for Killzone 2, it wasn't a bad game at all. I might be something I wouldn't mind picking up. On another note, Jess finally getting her PS3 is making me really want to pick back up a few games. I dont know if I will though, me and Ringo are about start playing some Runes of Magic together again.

You only really need the handgun if you have decent aim. xD
I take extra support half the time though because when you're online (which is what I played the most) chances are you'll get an idiot above anybody else.

The default Handgun maxes capacity at 100 per clip, it's amaaazing. 
I always use that one since it has lower firepower, but a shot to the head or knees is enough for a melee. Then it's either uppercut/somersault > stomp/stab or neck breaker/throat slit.
