I get what you mean, but I do prefer it, personally. The introduction of the Spitter/Charger/Jockey made things interesting, as did having campaigns set during the day. The Tank could be frustrating at best, though.
I'd advise getting the first ObsCure at least. The second isn't so good and you get a Game Over if any characters die, because they have set storyline deaths.![]()
I just felt that L4D2 didn't have enough new content to warrant a sequel. It was essentially a glorified expansion pack.
