Alright, so a long time ago I signed up for MySpace and never used it. Within the last week or so, I've finally added a couple friends and bothered to check it every other day or so. I get on today and I have 18 new friend requests. Adding the two "I'm gay, wanna hook up sexy" friend requests I've got before, that's a total of 20 requests from people I don't know. About a quarter are for porn sites, another quarter are for a leg shaving company, and the remaining half are actual people... but they're still all people I don't know. The majority of the time they're incredibly hot chicks asking to be my friend. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Obviously some sort of bullshit... but what kind? What is it? I don't understand...

Well myspace is kind of for ppl that have no lives when i first saw myspace at my friends house i just started craking up.There are all sorts of ppl that use myspace the dumbest thing i have seen at myspace is a gangster at myspace WTF is that.
 
I hate myspace... I Have two MySpaces: one for me, one for my band, but I still hate it.

It's so boring and overrated... I can't see how anyone can spend their daily lives wasting in front of it...

Man I have way more fun at any kind of forums that myspace tell me how can u ever think about liking myspace.

Like FFF is way better than trying to make some friends at myspace and whats even dumber is most ppl have a myspace account.Even though everyone does not know that Myspace was created by the government to monitor ever retard.I'll post up the story as soon as i find it.
 
sometimes when I cruise myspaces I see people post thier phone numbers as comments.
Then I skype call them

Who is actually dumb enough to put there phone number on the internet I don't even put my phone number when i go to regerstion at school cause i want my number private.

Well u just gave me a good idea i am going to look for my friend then keep on calling him to piss him off.
 
Myspace is great, theres just so many morons on it....im probably one of them thinking about it....but yeah it does have it usefulness.

I've found and been able to get back intouch with old mates who are no longer around because of work placements, family relocation or University amongs other reasons....I use it to keep informed of local gigs as well as major upcoming tours for my favorite bands....I use it to help promote my artwork (tho not so much recently, in progress :P )....Plus if your out of credit on your phone, a comment is a decent txt haha

I however do hate random people adding me, or shitty bands. Thats where the 'Deny' button comes into play mwhahahaha. Tho if anyone on here added me I wouldn't mind, as long as the made themselfs known who they are on here etc.

For ppl who have no lifes? Its a great way to get in contact with people who use to go to your school, college, etc. Ive been a member since December and found all my old college and uni friends. My new boyfriend managed to get in contact with me via MySpace and weve been together for a month and half.

It gets annoying when random people add you, specially random crappy bands whom will never get anywhere. That sucks.
 
I never really did myspace, just facebook. Seems 'classier,' if you will. However, due a part of participation, and eventual losing, of a bet, I created one about a week and a half ago. It seems more a hassle to maintain that it should be...I'll keep it for a while, but, needless to say, it won't be a priority of my online life.

That's what I was just gonna say about MySpace. It's not just for people who don't have lives, you know? I have a life and a MySpace. I got back in contact with some high school friends I haven't seen for nearly a year.

It's a great way to still keep in contact with people if you haven't got Instant Messenger.
 
Ahem, I have a myspace account and it's obviously not just for retards. (Hint, hint) :) I mainly use it to contact friends and family back in California and then of course the few old mates scattered all over the world. I find it useful. I don't use it for stupid reasons at all. Like what Moonchild stated...there's always the "Deny" button in case you don't want to be someone's "friend." I get invited to all sort of parties and crap, but I ignore it.

The thing is, you have to be mature enough to use myspace, so it really depends on the person. And what I mean by "mature enough", it means don't give out personal information. In fact, better yet...set your profile on private if you wish. Safer that way.
 
I have myspace, but I Dont use it, and can never remember the url to my profile when people ask me if i have it. I logged in today, just to junk the one random band who asked me to be their friend.

That will be me for another month then on there lmao

because sometimes it's the only way we can talk to friends...and maybe you would like it if you tryed it out. If you put some effort into it. You would like it. And about the wasting their daily lives in front of it, well people wast their daily lives on here,gaia, and other RP sites..so...
