I was going to register with the username "Princess Meyla", but I figured that would cause a lot of unnecessary confusion seeing as how I'm definitely not female. Other than that, everything's turned out nicely.

So, a little about me. I'm a 23 year old resident of the west coast of Canada. I'm more than a little interested in Final Fantasy (and other RPGs). I have several ports of the same games (I have Final Fantasy I and II for the PS1, GBA, and PSP, for example). I'm an avid online gamer, but I much prefer co-operative gaming to gaming of a competitive nature.

I'm currently working my way through the main storyline of Dragon Quest IX (I'm at the end), Borderlands, and I'm feverishly trying to max out everything in Warriors Orochi 2. I have active subscriptions in World of Warcraft, Star Trek Online, and Final Fantasy XI. I won't be getting Final Fantasy XIV until when (and if) it's released on the 360, as I don't trust any computer that I currently own, or will ever buy, to be able to run modern games effectively and efficiently. I hate playing modern games on the lowest graphical settings.

The only Final Fantasy games that I've beaten are Final Fantasy VII (I had some help from my good friend, Gameshark, on this one; planning to replay it some time) and Final Fantasy IX (beat this one fair and square... it's my favorite Final Fantasy game to date, no doubt about it). That aside, I have most of the Final Fantasy games (or their ports), including all the main ones (I-XIII) which I would really love to complete. Hell, I've got an RPG collection approximately 50 strong that I would love to finish, including all four Star Ocean games.

I'm interested in languages, and I took three years of Japanese in High School (although I've forgotten most of it). I'd like to re-learn Japanese, and go through Korean as well. I'm tired of these Korean video game developers making games in Korean and just... not releasing it in English in good time, if at all. I'm also taking music lessons for the piano/keyboard, but I'm not learning it very quickly. I think my instructor is getting annoyed with me. Had I forgone all the music lessons and embarrassment, I would have been able to buy more RPGs that would be collecting dust on my shelf. For shame!

I'm a major science-fiction fan, with my interests covering all Star Trek series, all Stargate, Andromeda, and Doctor Who (the new one, as I have not yet seen any of the old episodes). I've been thinking about writing a novel, but every time I attempt it, I can never seem to make it past the first few pages.

Kudos for reading it all, if any of you did. This seems like a nice forum, and just what I was looking for. Ah, Google. You've never steered me wrong.

Woo Doctor Who :neomon:

Good morning and welcome to the forums

Thanks, you guys!

Naughty Beavis, trading in an awesome game like Borderlands. I have only ever traded in one game, and I had a very negative experience with that. I bought Shadow of the Colossus for $55, played it once, and brought it back a few days later. Since I had opened it, I couldn't return it, so I decided to trade it in. How much did I get for it? Less than $5.

I know right? -__-

Trading is definitely not worth it. That was the first and the last game I've ever traded. I learned my lesson. :lew:
