How is Final Fantasy 7 going to end?

Oh this story will keep going until cloud's grandchildren die trying to save the world and it all blows up. We will probably all be dead by the time that they come out with the final installment.

I'm hoping that it involves Genesis as the main character and a whole new crew of characters. Then near the end Cloud and his gang comes and battles Genesis and his new friends. Having a built story where Genesis is trying to do right, but Cloud thinking he is going to do something wrong would make a good story. Hero Verses Hero. Genesis wasn't a bad guy, he was against Shinra cause they were turning him into a monster. A lot like how Cloud was turned into a nut by Shinra. A good twist would be genesis trying to get more revenge on Shinra after Rufus has changed his way.

Remember when Vincent was on the Sheri and Reeve said that someone was giving money to make up for wrongs. Also Rufus in AC talked to Cloud about saying that he owed the planet a great dept.

The cast of Final Fantasy VII is deep. All characters had a good side and a bad side. It was never pure hero or pure villian. Even Sephiroth was known as a great hero before he went crazy.

Lord almighty if it comes to Cloud's Grandchildren, I hope I'm not alive to see it :ffs:

You and I both :neomon:

I think I can imagine and elderly Cloud Strife still defending the world from an even elderly-er Sephiroth, playing a match of Chess to settle it all :tehe:

Knowing SE, they're not going to produce much of an ending at all. I can see them making ambiguous ending after ambiguous ending over and over again to entice speculation and more room for yet another sequel (and so on).

Ehh....I think we're fine as it is. Yes, Genesis is revived in DoC's secret ending, but according to the Crisis Core Ultimania (as Nomura said himself), he isn't off to take revenge on the Planet as it is, but to actually protect it in repayment for Minerva helping him defy degradation and death at the end of Crisis Core.

That does admittedly leave room to ask who Genesis has to protect the Planet from of course. But I would think this ending is fine as it is. I just accept the fact that there is always going to be a threat, both seen and unseen. If there is to be further continuation though, an anime series would be enough. :hmmm:

Sadly the whole ambiguous ending is true. They ended VII with an ambiguous ending that we had no idea would be expanded upon.

However I think a DoC sequel would work really good with Genesis as an anti-hero, trying to protect the planet yet Cloud has no idea wtf is going on because he never really knew him, but might remember through Zack's memories.

In my opinion Square will continue to expand upon the ending of FF7 until they are telling the story from Cloud's great grandchildren, though don't get me wrong that would make for an interesting turn of event's.

How's about a game or some kind of acknowledgement of Barrett's daughter Marlene? She appeared in FF7:AC but didn't really have much in the way of lines in that film.

A second FF7 movie, perhaps following how Genesis rises up and tries to continue his righteous fight against Shinra although as alot of people have said Cloud mistakenly thinks Genesis is trying to take over the world etc. even though Rufus has changed his ways. This could make for an interesting new installment in the way of either a game for the psp or a new movie following on sometime in the future after AC, seeing as at the end of DoC Genesis is seen in a secret ending 'resting' waiting to rise again...

The lesser known characters of FF7 deserve some recognition and should be brought into the spotlight, for they have made a game revolving around Vincent Valentine, Zack Fair and also the original game revolving around Cloud Strife.

Who would like to see a game based on Barrett's or Yuffie's history although you see Yuffie as the annoying treasure hunting princess in CC :hmmm:...

FF7 will end when the money does. It doesn't matter where the story is when that happens. When it is no longer making money it will be over. However, there are some (myself included) who belief that will never happen.

It'd be artsy if we had a sort of full circle ending though with the Red and the other doggy things running toward the ruins of Midgar but in super high def graphics. I hate FF7 and even I'd find that neat.

That has to be the most memorable scene of FF7 for me now apart from maybe the scene of Sephiroth in a slow free fall about to kill Aerith, (seriously she must've had some crap evasive skills that attack took like forever to land).

I also personally think that now they have brought the FF7 franchise this far they wont stop for even if the likes of Before Crisis crashed and burned and never got released, a couple of bum notes along the way wont cause any serious harm to their income due to the franchise...
To be quite honest they're gonna keep making a couple of hundred a year by keeping on sapping my mothers bank account for the membership i never actually got to use on FFXI so count yourself lucky Square you got that 600 that you never would've got otherwise -__- damn assholes not cancelling the subscription only lowering the cost by a little bit :hmmm: time to take it further methinks?

^ That post went so far off topic I'm not even sure what to say.

Gotta admit with the money thing though. If SE knows anything about VII, which they obviously do.. it's that it'll keep making the most money for them, from the fanboys and the haters alike. BC will eventually get re-released over here for 3DS or PSP2 or some shit.. they may make another movie... and DoC will have a sequel.

Those will make them millions upon millions... and then a remake will make them billions.

True the first paragraph, but I do think it may end one day.....in a very, very long time once Square has no more ideas for spinoffs up their sleeve.
I actually like the original FF7, a lot, it's a great game IMO so I gotta disagree with you there.
