So something kinda never really made sense to me.

- You go into Top Posters, and you view all the posts made recently, including Spam ones.

- You view your Welcome Member Postbit, and it shows post count for non-spam in posts.. but spam Threads.

- You view your regular postbit in posts, and it shows non-spam post counts.

Why is this? I understand that spam isn't postcountable, but why is it not adding up correctly? Has anybody else noticed this? Or am I the only freak?

In the Top Posters list, apart from the "Overall" column, it counts all your posts, regardless of whether they're in a post count section or not. While the welcome panel counts all non-post count threads in your thread total as well.

It's because Top Posters is a plugin/mod that handles post counting differently.

We could easily solve this problem by removing all visible post counts and the top posters list entirely, but that might save too much space with all those useless statistics gone. :p

Well okay. But I don't understand why. You'd think that if the welcome panel would count non-post count threads, it would also show non-post count posts... right? Why one and not the other?

Sorry, this may just be a really stupid question with no answer. >_>

Also, Posts in the "last 28 days" is different than "posts this month".

Say it's July 4th. You've posted 29 times in July so far, from the 1st 'til the 4th. The month is only 4 days long so you've only made 29 posts in the month so far.

The last 28 days would date back to around June 6th. So say you made 456 posts in the last 28 days, that's how many you posted from June 6th 'til July 4th.

Those two categories of "posts in the last 28 days" and "posts this month" are two separate things.

Yeah... that did kinda look a bit effed up. :monster: Thanks Busta.

But that still doesn't answer the other question. :gasp:

It's probably because non post count sections being counted would mean everyone would get into Veteran and the top 50 post count quicker for posting something like a full stop.

Also, I'm at the top :awesome:

I think she just means on the welcome panel, not the over all statistics - I did wonder myself why the total threads was inclusive of none post count areas, whereas the postcount it's self wasnt. Why one without the other etc

It was more just a fleeting thought, and curiosity more than anything. Ive got an appalling amount of spam posts from the past:wacky:

Maybe it's the way the forum sets it up.

You still post a lot in spam. Almost as much as me. :monocle:
