What would you have added or changed?

"Its A Memory or Us" was Tifas way of saying Shes dead get over it - Pick ME.

i didn't like that as it wasn't really something that Tifa would say, and the fact that People now argue about that line (Its used in LTDs) makes it even worse IMO.
Oh. I thought it was just an honest question of "are you going with me or not?" (I'd hate being left hanging too.) Mrh. *shrugs* each to his own.

And Yazoo was criminally under-used
are you kidding? a amount of his screen time could have been given to yuffie and would've been used better. You know how many times he shoots at Cloud? 570+. And he hit's him only once. IT takes a long time to shoot 570+ bullets with a gun that isn't an automatic.

Lastly, you can't drive from Midgar to The Forgotten City on a motorcycle because motorcycles don't go on water. Ok. Here's a schematic for ya:

If he can fly why can't he ride over water? lol. I think it's safe to assume that there is a ferry to the bone village over there that he was able to take.

The materia weren't the right colors. Summon materia is red, not blue. You're not even close. Magic materia is green, not blue. You're not even close. I was really pissed off to see that there were such horrible mistakes made.

I think they did that because the wrong colors visually looked better, (acheived the wanted effect better) then the proper colors. It confuzzled me at first.

Still i felt like Yazoo could have had a little more atention, after all Loz and Kadaj both got their Own Solo fights, Yazoo didnt - and a solo fight between Barret And Yazoo would have been nice.

The closest thing Yazoo got to a solo fight was shooting cloud right at the end - before being melted by Aeris

Who said Cloud could fly? Jump high, maybe. Jump across an ocean... not quite. He's Cloud Strife, not Fredrico the Mexican Jumping Bean. I really don't think that he took a ferry to Bone Village because the place place looks like Hiroshima after the bomb but... whatever. But even if he did, they really could've included the trip. It would've helped with the downtime point I had earlier.

That so does not fly with me. lol You're probably right... but that is definitely not a good reason for them to do it. Besides, they had no problem making the lifestream the same green aqua color and making it look awesome. I think they could've done it with the materia too... but it probably was just a matter of aesthetics.

Also, how did he get Fenrir back after he lost it in the Forgotten City?

Also also, was the lake that the kids walked into the same lake that Aeris's dead corpse is in?

That's it! You've broken the rule! The flying monkeys are coming! Ph34r them.

LOL I'm sorry, I'm so sorry but I'm taking this off topic for a second...Dragon Mage, I nearly spit my drink out all over my monitor when i saw this and then I pictured some girl dressed up a Dragon costume with a mage's staff throwing flying monkeys and saying "ph34r dem!" rotflmao!

I feel that Tifa saying

O.O Really? Tifa said that? I don't remember...

Now I have to watch it again. I really should pay more attention. -Sighs- I suppose the eye candy really gets to me.

But wow, if she really did say that, then it doesn't seem to be like her character at all. Hmm, although...Tifa was always jealous of Aeris anyway, even in the game. (Like when Cloud went to Aerith's room.)

I don't think Tifa was jealous of Aeris. Why would she be? Besides, she is dead now.

Something really ticked me off during the film and that's the role of Red XIII. He only got one line in the entire film and that was only at the end. The others got more lines and got to do more. I would make him have a better role.

it was good..

i guess t should have been diff... being 2 years after the game...

if i could have changed one thing though

i would have added jenova and cait siths MOG

Hmm, I think in the game she kinda was. Well, atleast it hinted the players. I could be wrong though. I guess it depends on how the players interpreted it. I mean, there was definitely competition.

But yeah, I don't think the line "It's a Memory or Us" means that Tifa was saying "She's dead, get over it", Aeris Gainsborough. o.o Like I said, it doesn't seem to be like Tifa, and it really depends on one's opinions. ^_^

As Lady Aerith has... rather passionately... said a few times in the past, Tifa was much more of a shy character than people see her as. She obviously likes Cloud through the whole game but he's always worried about Aeris. And when he lets her die, he feels responsible. He blames himself. But he's putting so much blame on himself that it's stopped him from holding a normal life. And when it's "clutch time", as Busta would say, he's going to pull an Irvine and pansie out... until Tifa gives him a little hard love (not like that) and tells him to ball it up and quit living in the past, which is what Aeris says to him later anyhow.

Oddly enough, he listens to Tifa but doesn't really agree... but when Aeris says it later, that's what turns him around. So Tifa does say it a little bit out of jealousy but mostly just to get Cloud to do what he has to do. She does what any good friend would do... and maybe it does come out as harsh but she always was competing with Aeris, just a little. But it's not like Tifa hates Aeris. She thanks her later when she "felt" her presense during the Sephiroth fight.

Actually, to be honest, I feel that when Tifa used the line "Which is it, a memory or us?" I don't feel that she is referring to herself when she says "us". Out of defense for Tifa (yes I am defending her because while she gets on my nerves at times, I rather like her, I just HATE fanon Tifa) I feel that Tifa is referring to the whole family. Meaning Barret, Marlene, Denzel and herself. If you've read the novels you'd know that they were all like family and when Barret left, it was hard on them a bit, blah blah blah. Barret, in my opinion, was sort of keeping the family together and after he left and Cloud had revisit the Forgotten City and have his heart torn apart once more, that's when he started to crumble.

So in my conclusion, I really do not feel Tifa was using that line as a "it's either me or the dead girl!" Tifa knows and acknowledges that Cloud cares deeply for Aerith and always will, but Aerith was the only who could begin to help Cloud start to release his guilt. It says while his guilt may have been lifted some, it's going to take awhile before Cloud is fully redeamed. That's what Nojima said in the bonus disk to this movie. It is only Aerith who can lift this deep feeling of remorse from Cloud. Tifa was there to just give him a shove and make him realize what's going on. So that's what I think on that.

Now, what would I have like to of seen more of? I really wish Nanaki had more screentime and more than just one line. I LOVED his voice when he spoke there at the very end and I really wish that he would have had more screentime. I wish that there had been more screentime with CloudxAerith and her speaking to him, but I'm a Clerith so obviously I would feel that way. I wish we could have seen more of Sephiroth as well. I was a little disappointed at how short that fight scene was between the two.

edited to add: Tifa never even hated Aerith, the two eventually became very close friends. In Case of Tifa, you can read just how devastated Tifa was over Aerith's death.

It's a six minute battle. It's not nearly as short as everyone says but it is fairly short. Not saying you said it, but a lot of people say it's only about 2 minutes long... when that's just not the case.

Well then, maybe not more battle time but I still would have loved to seen more of Sephiroth maybe speaking to Cloud, taunting him as usual, etc...

I would have liked to see more involvement of the other characters. Wasn't the movie partly about Cloud coming out of his shell? More teamworked moves (e.g. the final Bahamut-killing move) would have been nice, and some meaningful dialogue for the other characters.

I would also have loved to see more diologue between Sephy and Cloud. Best scene for me was the "leg up scene". Loved all of the voices except Red's (which is right at the end), I would have prefered a gruffer voice instead of a pronounced English accent.

Watched it with my dad yesterday and I said, Dad don't even try to follow the plot but he kinda did untill the FFVII crowd showed up, and he was like, who are they?

I think more of the original cast from the begining would have made for a better movie.

i would let Sephiroth fight in his angel form instead of letting him transform back into Kadaj... you know, the one winged angel, making the battle last double as long and more action, there wasn't really much sword vs sword action imo, more dodging of the falling pieces of rocks and jumping around... but well, that's just my opinion
i'd also liked it if he actually completely transformed into his final form, and perhaps the need of the party helping Cloud to defeat him

next to that i wouldn't change anything, expect making the movie last maybe double as long(it's actually a very short movie to today's standards i think)

In the movie's defense, I think a lot of the reason Sephiroth didn't stick around very long was because the movie was about the final attacks of Jenova. That's what geostigma was. Kadaj, Yazoo, and Loz all were focused on finding her. And at the end, all they could get was a deformed nearly-non-existant head that was pretty much just ooze and not a whole lot more. It wasn't even powerful enough for Kadaj to sustain his form as Sephiroth very long.

Also, the general idea of the main badguy is that it is suppose to be a flash-in-the-pan event. Be really bright when it happens but not last that long. Sephiroth was always present in FFVII but you didn't fight him until the end. It would've been boring if you got to fight him every ten steps. I think that they probably could have extended the scene and it wouldn't have hurt anything... but I liked it short and intense. Drawing it out too long would've ruined more than the movie, it would've ruined Sephiroth. I'm glad they played it safe and made it brief but violent.

jo, did you not see the movie? Some things can be passed as jumping, yes. But there's a Heck of a lot of flying around in that movie. Evident in the game as well, just before Cloud hands the Black Materia over to Sephiroth in the Northern Cave. That was flying. They all can fly. And Bone Village is a tourist attraction. They've got ferrys to Mackinack don't they? Well?

I've pondered that myself many times. How indeed?

Well, what Tifa says, does get him into action, instead of doing nothing. I think that when Aeris confirms what Tifa said, is cements the whole deal. To be told that your forgiven from one person is fine and all....but it really matters from the person your seeking forgiveness from.

XD. I'm glad it amuses you. 'Twas a funny image indeed. lol But don't take these flying monkeys as a joke. They're especially dangerous this time of year. lol.

hm, I don't know. I think (this is my honest opinion) that she was talking about him and her. You see how he acted when she mentioned family? Hm.... I don't know about Barret, seems like he was gone a lot, trying to find oil and all. Hard job. I always thought that it was Tifa really holding the thing together.

But more on topic, I add that there should have been a chocobo. We haven't had our chocobo fix yet. lol.

Hmm, I would've only made Sephiroth do more things before he fought Cloud. I would've made about 3 fights between them throught the whole movie and that's about all.

Risku #2 is right. He should have probalby fought inm more. They could have completel y reworked the story and added more fight.s.. but the fiht they had was cool . itw as supwer bitching. Spehirogh loooked very strange though. mean but kinda vapiristic... like no skin color. dunno... wierd.
