Irvine and Squall HOLDING HANDS

Now, This is pretty obvious, many of you may have seen this before, but...
Squall an Irvine can be seen holding hands for about a second at the beginning of the parade FMV sequence.

What do you say about this?
 
To me, it looks more like Irvine's hands are clenched (going more by his lef hand and noticing in the right) and also the position Squall and Irvine are in. Squall is too far forward to be holding Irvine's hand, probably just seeing what isn't there, not that the darkness helps :gasp:
 
Take a look at Irvine's "thumb". It looks a bit deformed, don't you think? Maybe it's one of Squall's fingers... >:)

Oh well, even when the camera angle goes upward, it still looks like they're holding hands, so the angle wont make much of a difference.
 
I doubt it, Squall wore black gloves and the thumb doesn't look leathery (like Squall's gloves) irvine only wears fingerless gloves so it's easy to tell the comparison in colours.
 
I dunno, it really is hard to tell being dark and all. The scene moved too fast (for me anyways) to really notice, and even now I doubt that's actually what's happening.

I agree with what The Emperor said. Squall looks to a head of Irvine for them to being holding hands. Hey, graphics were great, but not THAT great, so it probably is just a somewhat disproportionate hand of Irvine O.O

And anyways, what get's me giggling more is when you control Irvine for that lil' bit of time after everyone reunites in Disc 2 and practice for the concert, he can go to Squall's room while he's snoozin' ;D

I doubt it, but Even if they happened to be holding Hands. Id say it was purely to keep from being seperated in that huge ass crowd. I think he's too far forward as well so, Meh I doubt theres a "Hidden Meaning".
 
... Nah. I doubt it ... It doesnt look like they are holding hands to me. Fair enough their hands are close, but why would SquareEnix do that? There wouldnt be any need for it.
 
Also, to add Irvine's right hand is clenched, if they were holding hands you wouldn't see Irvine's right hand like that.
 
They're not holding hands. Squall wears black, leather gloves and nothing there suggests they're holding hands. I don't see leather fingers intertwined with flesh ones. Irvine's hands are clenched into fists. One of them could even possibly be holding his gun as well. In perspective, Squall is also much more forward-placed than Irvine is. Thus making it very awkward indeed to be holding hands, but they're not. Sorry.
 
There's only five fingers in that. If they were holding hands, there'd be much more. And besides, everyone's right: Squall wears gloves, and that doesn't look like black leather. It just looks like Irvine is clenching his hand.

I just think some may be trying to see something that isn't there. Sorry if that makes anybody mad, but that's just my personal opinion.
 
I'm not trying to start an argument, I'm just seeing if anyone else thinks they're holding hands... I always thought they were.
 
LOL yeah it does look like it, but I don't think so. Squall's too much in front of him and you can't see his gloves. Irvine's other hand looks the same too. :P

And nobody is arguing with you. We're just giving you a logical explanation here. Plus, you can't see Squall's gloved fingers intertwined with Irvine's so it blows your 'hand holding' theory completely out of the water.
 
It's a good, long, brotherly handshake that went awry! Don't judge them, there was allot going on.

Plus it felt so safe!

Besides, Squall and Irvine are the LAST people you'd expect to be having a gay relationship! :P

Irvine's just crazy about girls while Squall just doesn't like the prospect of clicking with others!
 
^ Assuming that the "crazy about girls" thing isn't some big cover up. And that Squall's misery and refusal to click doesn't come from some closeted passion.

No but, if they were holding hands, you'd either see the back of Irvine's hand, or the back of Squall's black glove, neither of which are shown; just fingers.
 
Yeah no doubt about it that this is an illusion

A) quall was way too antisocial for that

B) Irvine was only a ladies man, i think he said somewhere he dont go for guys

C) i dont think square would really throw that in there
 
Well, in all seriousness, it should be kept in mind that a brief hold of hands doesn't necessarily make the pair gay. =/

It's not something I'd do, but it's also a bunk argument to say that it'd be an impossible thing because of Irvine's orientation or Squall's awkward social graces.

What we do have as "evidence" however, is the image at hand, and it doesn't seem to show either holding hands.
