Who's the coolest character?

Cid Highwind. He always seemed like a backwater hick mechanic, but he was actually a very smart man. He also says many swears. Like this:

Tifa is definitley the best character. She is very caring and devoted. Plus, I love her moves, I sooo want 2 learn martial arts.

Hm. So, not our favorite character, but the "coolest" one? I think I'm going to have to go with Cloud. If I define "cool" as someone who's able to keep it together, Cloud has to win. I mean, he was being randomly controlled by Jenova cells for a good chunk of the game, his past was messed up, and just as he was falling in love, Aeris was taken away from him. Throughout all of this, he managed to keep a generally good attitude. Gotta hand it to the man for that.

Couldn't agree more. Cloud & then Cid a somewhat distant second, I like the whole don't give a damn, foul mouthed, take no crap attitude he brings to the table.

I'm torn between Cloud and Vincent. I love Vincent's red cape! And Cloud's hair and outfit. But I think I'm leaning more towards Cloud. He's just everything to me.

I'm just a big overall fan of Red XIII. Him and his relationship with Bugenhagen, his father Seto's history, and his character personality as the knowledgable character who says few words, but they cut deeply.
