Today's the day when the entire nation of the United Kingdom receives their A-level results. Use this thread as a means to post your results on here, discuss the future, what university you are attending, your feelings, etc.

You've gotta love results day, it's worse than actually sitting the exams. :awesome:
I still have another year left at college though within the first month or two back at College I want to send my application of to Newcastle or Sunderland to do law >_>
I'll be happy if I get 3 B's and 1 A in Law, if I don't I'mma resitting >_>

Ryan, that's near where I live! I know this has nothing to do with A-levels, but last year I had a really excellent GCSE in my home language, do you think I should do an a-level in it in the coming year, which I do my GCSEs?

Ignorant cunts; Scotland received their results a fortnight ago. :dave:

I forgot to make our own thread so I'll just post my results here:
Higher Psychology and Chemistry: A
Advanced Higher Music: A
Advanced Higher Biology: C
Open University (in Human Genetics & Health Issues): Pass (it was only pass/fail).

Highers = A-Levels
Advanced Highers = "The same standard as your first year at Uni"

I'm off to Glasgow University next month to do Psychology.

Despite intense panicking, I'm very happy with my results!

A in English Language.
B in History - however, I was only two marks off an A, so I'm sending it off to be remarked on advice of my History teacher, so hopefully I can bump that up to an A.
B in English Lit (4 marks off an A)
B in Law.

Very very happy with these results, especially Law. xD No more English Lit for meee!

B - English, I'm either getting it remarked or resitting since I got 86/90 marks in the first paper so I only need a B in the second paper to get an A.

B - Law. Pretty much the same as above.

B - Psychology. Happy with.

B - History. Same as above considering History was boring shite so I dropped it.

the overall pass rate rose to 97.5%, up 0.3 percentage points.
I hate it when the government/media toss themselves off over pass rates. You need an E at least to pass so overall considering the grades go A, B, C, D, E, U(unmarked). -__-

Maths - A
Physics - B
Chemistry - C
AS ICT - B
I'm a bit annoyed with them because I wanted to get at least a B in my subjects but I'm doing Mech Engineering at Sheffield (Uni of) so as long as I scored highly in Maths and Physics I didn't really care, which I did thankfully! I was only a few UMS away from a B in Chem but I bloody hate it anyway so I'm glad to be done with it :D

If you're good at it then definitely. It's one of those subjects that are looked highly upon by Universities, or even if you choose to go straight into a job after college. You can also adapt to A-Level English very easily, at least the first year since it's similar to GCSE English with having to compare books, creative writing skills and such like, just with more advanced terminology. Since you're got an excellent grade in it (congratulations btw) then I presume you're very talented at it which means you're probably naturally good at it which makes it far more easier, I only read the 2 books we were given once each and still only managed to drop 4 of 90 marks in the first paper. Definitely take it!

Very, very surprised I got in with the grades I got, though I'd rather avoid spending the slight embarrassment of posting them up here. :wacky:

Got my insurance choice, though, which is a huge relief and it looks like the clearing option won't be tagging me along. Bolton Uni, here I come!
