XBox Who here has played star ocean: the last hope

I gave the "Til the End of Time" game a try as well, and I couldn't get into it at all. The characters were too kiddie for me, the plot was too basic and bland, and the gameplay made me want to dig my own eyes out.

I remember an earthquake early on, and after that I turned off my PS2, and never touched that game again.
 
I personally loved all the SO games in the series. SO3 still stands as my favorite. Not only does it have the best progressive music I have ever heard, everything about the game is beautiful. I have never seen such a well done game in my life!
 
I loved SO the second story, It was one of the hardest games Ive ever played and one of the few i never finished. There really isnt a central theme linking them so you can play this one and still understand it. Either way I cant wait for this one.
 
Second Story was my favourite of all since the story was awesome and the character development was nice. TTEOT was kind of a let down and I don't know what to expect from the new Star Ocean. Guess I might give it a go after seeing what reviews and all have to say about it.
 
TTEOT was alright, the story was good enough until the really ridiculous plot twist in the end. I wont give it away for those who want to play it. Anyways that was really my only letdown, but the gameplay did seem watered down from SO:TSS

I really want to know how star ocean the last hope is. if anyone has played it, PLEASE!!!!! tell me about it. i heard it was a great game for the 360.
 
As far as my investigation tells me, this game is exclusively for Xbox 360. As such:

Star ocean the last hope is not a continuation of till the end of time in fact it has nothing to do with the previous cast

it starts with earth being ravaged by war and the establishment of the space exploration force which edge is a part of along with his freind Reimei

to keep the jest of the story secret the game is awesome and it also has a new creator for those who played TTEOT and Gabriel Celestie and the Ethernal Queen is back with avengence hope this helped some :D

Is this game worth getting? Cause the only star ocean i've played is till the end of time, and i haven't played that in almost a year.
 
I dont know if your a fan of the series or not, I played till the end of time and loved it and if you like star ocean then star ocean 4 is the right choice to go. I think till the end of time was better but the last hope was JUST as good. It has a great story, characters,graphics,battle system is better than till the end of time. The nly thing I hated was no player costumes for battle trophies, which is also hard to get just like till the end of time :I I replayed star ocean 4 about 3 times ;)
