The strategy guide says you will need to hit the square button on each cliff to keep your temps above 26, but it only lets me do it one time. After that it just keeps dropping steady while I am pushing square. Since you can only raise your temp one time per climb, is there a certain point you should do it at, or once it drops to a certain degree?

You have to keep tapping it to raise your temp level, not simply push it once. As long as you don't hang around there really isn't much need to do it too much though, but to be safe just raise it to about 32 (think thats how much it goes upto) at every flag.

nm, I am an idiot. You have to tap it "before" you tag the red flag, I was trying to do it after I tagged the flag. lol thanks.

Heh. Can anyone top this level of embarrassment? I’ve known people to become stuck on many parts of Final Fantasy VII – but never like this. This is truly a revolutionary event of modern times.

lol, you think this is bad? You should watch me try to navigate through everyday life sometime.

Don't worry about it. Took me forever to figure out how to get through Sector 6 because I thought you should of been able to get onto the red beam via the raised part of the path and not by going through the small tunnel and around. Infact it frustrated me so much that I actually restarted the game a few times each time I reached that point because my patience dwindled. But look at me now, I'm a Final Fantasy VII GOD!

We all get stuck in silly places at one time or another. The answer's normally staring you in the face too, we've all done it!:monster:

yeah i hate it when that happens.and trust me when i say this is not the most embarrassing thing i've seen(having to do with final fantasy)

Yeah, no worries about it anymore as long as you got the hang of it and what not. That's all that really matters. =)
I got stuck in a lot of places because I couldn't tell the exits and what not since I never really liked to play with that pointer thingy xD

yup, it is a bit of an uncalled for post.

he asked a question and the community gave him an answer. :-) it's all good.

What i do is i tap square whenever i'm in solid ground if you do this and max out the temperature every time you stop climbing then you won't have any problems trust me.

And don't worry i'm sure almost everyone here got frozen in their first playthroughs.

You’re taking my post too seriously. It was merely meant as a joke. Chill out.

Mod EDIT: Don't tell staff to 'chill out' again...

You’re temperature does plummet surprisingly quickly. The trick is, to keep hammering the square button. It’s also a good idea to plan your route beforehand just in case you hit a dead-end.

Heehee, I freeze on almost every play through so yeah xD.
I look for too much stuff and yeah I often forget about the metter thingy, specially when I'm looking around at the top of Alexander.

The biggest mistake I ever see anyone make when climbing (Including myself, before I knew to just run) is that I would be getting hung up where the vines (or whatever) change direction or split up into seperate paths, I would first fumble, then even after I caught myself, Id find myself lingering wondering which path to take, didn't really worry about warmin myself up much before I jumped on, got disoriented and fall off an die. Lmao. But yeah, now I just warm myself up at the beginning, climb a few vines like a mad monkey trying to escape rising lava (DK anyone?) and if a path breaks off, I quckily figure out which botton makes me go whichever direction is most like up (Usually up... or diagnol up) and keep racing. Once Im on a platform and my temp hits about 25/26 I just mash X, get it up to about 30 and keep going.

Side note, I just recently played through/playing through VII (PlayING because I havent taken neccesary steps to smash Ruby or Emerald yet, I.E. master massive amounts of useful materia, respawning new materia and mastering it too. I do have my Gold Chocobo though. Her names Maria, named after my late Aeris character.) It has been at least four or five years since my last replay of VII and I had ALOT of fun trying to find that Snow bitches cave that you get Alexander from. I was running around that fuckin snow field for at least a halfie, not even usin the damn markers.

Playstation's fun.
