Well I thought I would make a thread with some of my artwork. My main passion is art so I have a few pieces to put up.

My main thing is portraiture, but I also like to do fan art. I am currently working on a Sailor Moon and Final Fantasy VIII piece. But most of my current work is celebrity portraits, especially musicians.

Critique is welcome, I like to hear opinions into how to make my work better. I use traditional and mech pencils as well as an eraser and tissues for blending! lol, me too! I have so much schoolwork to get through. I swear Japanese people do not know the meaning of 'holiday' lol. Hmmm, also I am always looking for new inspiration and such, so if anybody has some ideas I would love to hear them!

I'm a student studying Japanese on exchange in Japan. And...thats pretty much it, I'm such a loser, lol. I would love to get into an art career, it would be amazing. But I am very self conscious about how good I am compared to other people. Plus I have never had any training and don't have any spiffy formal certificates so I think that might pull me back a bit.

Wow that seems like such fun! I'd love to travel and study. I wouldn't feel self conscious at all if I were as good as you either. I'm no expert in the area of art but I definitely know that your work is amazing to look at and I'm sure you'd have no trouble in making a career out of it.

I've been on deviantart for around 4 years and you're the best I've seen in a while.

Great work. Keep it up. Also, have you ever done any Final Fantasy portraits like you've done Liv Tyler and the others?

I was obsessed with Paine from FFX-2 for a while and I drew a couple of portraits of her. But they were done while I was really new to portrait work so they are real crappy, lol. I'm hoping to actually start a few FFVIII character portraits. I have brought so many FF books while in Japan its given me a lot of inspiration and some good source material!
 
Strangely enough I had an obsession with Paine as well. I used to do the odd drawing here and there back in highschool (while I was meant to be working) and I always loved drawing Paine.

I'll be looking forward to some FFVIII portraits from you. =D
 
Absolutely amazing our works are excellent, I like them all. =D
I also took a look at your Deviantart and YRP, Tira drawings are pretty good.
